Sponsoring husband from Morocco

Good Morning everyone,
I'm new to this thread...but I've read through it all from the beginning.
We just had our file transferred to Rabat for further processing.
We have yet to receive AOR2 from them(it hasn't been all that long), and so, I expect there will be a significant delay.
Is there anyone else here who has a more recent application and an updated timeline for Rabat's processing times?
Are ppl still experiencing the 12-14 month timeline from the day Rabat receives the file from Canada?
Anyone with current info would be much appreciated

Wow, you read all the messages from the beginning. The thread started in 2007 and it has tons of messages and stories in it.
Next week will be 1 year for me, I haven't heard any news since Jul 2018.

Yes, it was a very long and upsetting read lemme tell you.
Wow a year! And nothing for 8months! I can’t believe that they’re allowed to continue to be this slow when other offices are timely. Seems the 20% of cases that don’t get done within 12months are the ones going to Rabat! Unreal!

The worst part is that there are people who have been waiting longer than me. My wife is actually considering travelling to Rabat to speak to someone there face to face next week.

Wow I really can’t believe that. So much for them finishing applications within 12 months.
If you don’t mind me asking, what city does your wife live in?

My wife is from a small town called youssoufia.

Did anyone check their status on ECAS today? My wife is telling me that a lot of people from February and March have been changed to decision made.

"Starting March 6, you will see a progress bar for your online application. The progress bar shows the time elapsed since we received your application. It will also give you an estimated completion date based on our latest estimated processing times.

We will let you know by e-mail when the progress bar is available for your application."

I think everyone with an account received this email. I checked today, I didn't see the progress bar.

My husband got the same email. And he just got another email saying it's available to him now. Slight problem we were never successful linking the gckey

I think we had some sort of problem linking our account in the beginning. I called CIC and they were able to help although I had to wait on hold for 40 min.

keep passport info blank .In the last question ( i think that it is about the number of person to be sponsored enter number 2 ). This the best way to link your application to the My CIC.

Our account was updated today. The bar doesn't really provide much value besides telling you how many more days are left before the 12 months is up.

Thanks, but it's really weird. On ECAS it says Decision Made but on the GCKey it says background check is in progress and it's been like that for 1 week. I'm hoping they give us the email to come in to the embassy for the COPR. Today marks 1 year since we started this process. BTW, did the embassy in Rabat email your husband, that they received his application and will be working on it?
