No it doesn't. For us, the interview was January 19th, 2012 and the decision was made March 15th, 2012. The change of status online didn't change right away. Then they made an appointment for him to pick up his Visa, which was April 18th, 2012. Just gives you an idea of the time line.

My husband and I would like to know if you were able to open your CAS after your husbands interview? We were able to open it up lastnight but we are not able today. Could this mean they are updating our status or just regular maintenance?

Hello everyone, it's been awhile since I've visited here but I decided to have a look-see. You may remember me as the non-Rabat applicant who hung out in this thread because I can relate to being married to a Moroccan! I just checked Habibti's last message and was absolutely ecstaticly thrilled to see that those two had made it and her husband was able to land. Congratulations, habibti. What a lovely picture too - both of you are more beautiful than I even imagined. I haven't checked out how Dair has been doing yet, or locolynn, but I've been thinking about everyone these past many, many, many months.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum,please i need help and hope some of you with experiences will tell me what to do. I'm a Canadian i live here in Canada and my fiance is a resident of Morocco. I visited him twice we love each very much and we get along very well the problem is i want to sponsor him to come here in Canada so we can live our lives here, but i just got hired for this new job and i can't travel for the next one year and i can't afford to loose the job (It's took me a long while to find that job) So i can't go marry him in Morocco since i can't travel. Can't you please tell me if i can sponsor him as my fiance or what else can i do please i need help thank you everyone for you responses God bless you all.

Canada has no fiance sponsorship class.

Your fiance can try to apply for a TRV to come and visit Canada. If he is approved, then you can marry here.

Unfortunately the chances of being approved are low. You will likely have to travel to Morocco and get married there before you can sponsor him.

He can always try applying for a TRV. Maybe he'll get lucky.

I have been reading a few of your posts and I truly feel connected with your situation. I am not married just yet, but my fiance is Moroccan as well. He currently lives in England and he is there as a student. May I ask, how was your experience applying to the Rabat visa? How long after did they call for interviews and stuff... I am just curious to know how your process went in general since we are not too sure if we will apply with the Moroccan visa or with the London visa...

Yes - a TRV is a travel / tourist visa. Yes - to be approved, he must prove that he will return to Morocco.

Hi M, the issue we had was the waiting. But that would be like any other Visa office. We communicated by email with the embassy a lot. There were only a couple of times they didn't answer. We added a signature to the email we created just for immigration with his full name and client number; I don't know if that helped but felt it necessary.

On the immigration website, when we applied, it stated that the visa would take 10 months. They are true to their word. Now that does not include the time it took for his file to arrive to Rabat.

It took them 2 months to call after the 1st interview...March 15, 2012. He did go for a second interview in Feb 2012 because they needed some info that we forgot to add to the application...it was a date in the part about his history since age 18.

With your fiance being a student in London I would assume you would have to apply for the visa through Rabat. Unless he's a permanent resident in London?

I hope this helps in some way. But one thing I would do is call Canada Immigration and ask them what to do in his case. They will give you general info only. But at least it would be hearing the info from the source.
