Sponsoring husband from Morocco

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to thank everyone for posting their experiences on this site and also providing all the links and necessary paper work in order to marry in Morocco. It is with great pleasure that thanks to all of you i managed to get all the papers and things in order before i travelled to Morocco to marry my now husband. It took us only two weeks to get it all done and now we are officially married. I am just waiting for him to send me back his side of the immigration papers to that i can send them off to the Mississauga office for processing. This distance is really killing us and we can't be away from each other much longer. If it takes too long i told him already i will move there with him until he can come up here...but then again i would have problems with my daughters father from my previous relationship...we have a long and complicated relationship..any ways thanks again ...

thank you for the welcoming onto the site. I really do love the support you guys have given each other and secretly myself too. If it wasn't for this site i guess i still would have been in square one. I am glad that at least my husband Jamal and myself are now married after such a short time. Now, what i don't like is the whole waiting ......i just finished talking to him via cam/micro msn and he was rather disappointed that the whole thing could take anywhere from 6months to a year. We both have been wanting to reunite within the next three months. Like i have said to him inshallah we will since Allah knows best. Trust him and all will prevail. He sounded a bit sad but i don't blame him because i really miss him too very much...like you all wanting to reunite with your loved ones. I am glad that many of you have been through the whole interview process and soon are on your way to be with your loved ones. I hope to be in that point within the next three months..as if i'm the one giving us the ok...i just hate waiting....especially now since i found the man of my dreams. Jamal has accepted me with my already three year old daughter, who he treated like his very own for the month we were in Morocco.....trust me when i say ..i left my heart and soul there ..i am only in Toronto physically..i work close to a few of you who are here in toronto too...i work in the travel industry as a tour operator specialist selling tickets to travel agents....our office is located right by Rosedale Station..anyways i will keep you all posted as to when i receive his documents so that in turn i could forward them to the Mississauga office for processing...but us like others got married the day before i had to return home..so we didn't have a honeymoon or a festive wedding...we just performed the civil marriage by the aduls the day before i left...i got my henna done 5 hours before my flight lol...oh well all in the name of love right??????

we are still waiting what to do , nothg just waiting , in cha allah we will all recieve the good news soon , for me now it s 3 month i miss my husband so mutch everyday i wait like one year , what to do we just make doaah that ALLAH make all of us with there loves soon ,

All on this forum are so friendly and it really is nice to have others in the same shoes as I, even though many of you are a lot further along. As for Jamal and I, I am still waiting for his papers to get to me so that i could send them off. This whole waiting thing is a lot harder than i really thought it was going to be. Like i tell all my friends and co workers..i left my heart and soul in Morocco and i am only here physically. It's been really hard to concentrate on work when all i could think about is being with Jamal and his family in Morocco. My daughter misses him greatly too. It's weird because she took such a liking to him, more than with her own father and she's only three. So i guess no one else has any other news to report yet either. Oh well, i guess we just keep waiting....well i shouldn't say waiting for me yet since i have yet to send the papers in to Mississauga.

Hey, one question...when you guys sent in the marriage certificate did you send in the original one in Arabic along with the translated one to English??? Jamal sent both in to me through the mail but i don't feel comfortable sending in the original..what did you guys do???? since i hope to receive his package tomorrow in shallah so that i could send them over to Mississauga for processing..

hi Indira , you have to send copy of original mariage certificat (arabic one ) and original translation . i am sure you have 2 arabic original certificat ( one for you and other for your husband).

Hi Everyone,

My Husband finally received his AOR letter this morning. We are so happy to see another step completed towads being together.

Our application was received Oct 23, so it was 5 days short of 2 months from the beginning to the receipt of the AOR. Just to let anyone know who is going through the same process right now.
