i am just wondering...when you wrote to your MP, what exactly did you tell them and ask them to do?

We got our notification for sponsering in Dec 2008 and are still waiting on the embassy in Rabat to give us an answer. My wife is willing to do whatever it takes, so please let us know what you wrote to the MP about.

when i emailed the mp i basically just asked them to look into my file at the canadian embassy and gave them the information on when it arrived there my husbands name and immigration file number

Congratulations Hoffa on getting your AOR letter. But a word of caution, don't get your hopes up that it will be finished in 7 months. My husband and I have been waiting 8 and 1/2 months and still no word from the embassy about an interview or anything yet. Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones who is finished quickly! as rjessome said don't get your hopes up it will b finished in 7 months ......it's happned to me too when i got the letter from the embassy in spt 2008 ,and they said it will takes 7 months ,but it takes 9 months.....i wish u will lucky and get ur visa in time.....

Don't worry abdo12. I will post it the MINUTE we get the call! I wrote to my MP last week but haven't heard anything from him yet. I'm going to call him tomorrow. Did your wife call her MP yet? Good luck to you too!

yeah she went to them and they faxed some informations to rabat and we will see what is going on in the next few days,and after that she called them and miss judy told her to not worry and today my wife will do a specific enquiry again to rabat ,so we are doing everythings we can do so we can get a call from them as we waited so long than other ppls,good luck rgessome and hope we will hear good news from the embassy very soon becouse we are feeling fire on our hearts acctually ..

hi everybody so like everyone iam waiting for call or letter or email from ambassy in rabat i would like to share everything that i know .

they stared my application in rabat in 22 december 2008 and my medical checkup expired in 22 october 2009 iam wondering if anyone got call from rabat about interview so plz if u have anything to share plz help

hi everybody , i hope you are coping well with waiting process its really hard but its unescapable , anyway i have been waiting for 6 and a halp months and still no words i know its not time yet for them to call because most of the case are finalized in 8 or 9 months unless there is a further complication like security chekcs or the hollidays that immigration officers in rabat take , these things can make it longer than normal ;
we have made it here in agadir like a club for all guys married to canadian women to cooperate with each others and stay together and talk abt our cases and that makes us stick to each other and make this waiting less hard , anyway one of my friends has been badly shocked on last thursday when he got a letter composed of two papers from rabt telling him that he has been refused the visa , the reason is that the officer and his name is george thought that the marriage is not genuine and and was made just to get entry to canada and improve ones status , its really such a big disappointment for all of us and we fee very sorry for this guy , now he is working on the appeal , if u wanna know how long he waited , well he got the AOR letter from rabat telling him that they have started processing his file on the 25 september 2008 and he recieved a call for the interview on the 14 of may 2009 and he passed the interview on the 27 may 2009 and last thursday he got the refusal letter ; in my next post i ll give you a detail account of what has passed in his interview so that nobody falls in the same mistakes our friend did , see you soon .

med, I am very sorry to hear about your friend. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to reading your next post for more details. I think it's nice that you have formed a little support group in Agadir to help all of you get through this. My husband lives in Marrakech. We've met some great people from there who have also helped us get through this. Unfortunately for us, it's not over yet.

I spoke to my MP's office on Friday. They took some notes about our file and will have their immigration specialist call me when he gets back from vacation tomorrow or Tuesday. They will make an inquiry to Rabat on our behalf if we have still not heard anything.

I was always really confident about our file but now I'm scared. I have been to Morocco 9 times in just over 2 years. I can't afford to go back anymore in the near future. It's TIME for my husband to come to ME! But I can't help but wonder what is wrong with our file that has it flagged? Why is it in the slow moving pile when I know of other people who's files were received in December and January and are already completed? I have studied this stuff. I will be a licensed immigration consultant in October. I KNOW the law but I just don't understand the randomness of this. It doesn't make any sense to me. I don't want to turn my son's life upside down and move to Morocco if they refuse us BUT I will. I can't live another year like this past one. No way.

i hope that we will get some new from rabat yesterday i was talking to my friend who live in rabat and he asked for me there just the moroccain ppl who work in consulat he told me things wil go back to normal in october because ppl that work in ambassy and consulat are on vacation so thats why its slow also i have friend who live in quebec he say things are better for ppl that apply for federal so cross finger and inchallah we all will be whit our loved one
