Hi Becca,

Stay strong. I completely understand how hard it is. Karim and I will be celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary and our 1 year not seeing each other in July. We haven't heard anything beyond "he's under security check" in 6 months. We're getting desperate. It's hard to even get out of bed sometimes. My only hope is that they will get back to us in the next week - the one year anniversary of our processing start date in Rabat. Keep your head up!

Lynn

Becca,

I really believe that you were not refused. I think you would have already received the refusal letter.
Those that were refused received the letter within 2 weeks of the interview date.
There are 18 people still waiting for their decision on the other site, all in the same situation as you are. That is what is happening with the majority of the applicants lately. Very few receive an answer right away, or their Visa quickly.

Many are past the 2 month point. There are many that are from the month of March and April. Even a few from Jan, and Feb.

Please try to take care of yourself and stay positive.
I realy believe that you will get the answer you are hoping for .
There seems to major delays with the security check part. That seems to be where all th holdups are.

Locolynn,

Your Husband seems to be stuck in that same security check problem.

I really wish you the best, and keep your faith.

Good luck to everyone.

Hi Becca,

Just to let you know that someone received their call to pick up their Visa on the 19th of June.
They had their interview on the 27th of March, and heard nothing from Rabat until now.
As I said , this seems to be the norm in Rabat right now.

Your turn is coming up I'm sure

Keep up your courage

Good luck to everyone

I totally agree Boras. Housni and I were talking about this yesterday.

My biggest beef right now is that a temporary foreign worker visa can be processed in 28 days. How is this possible. If the checks take less than a month, what is different between a spousal application. In my view there should be no difference in the checks for someone who can come to canada for 2 years versus coming here forever. I had my MP write a letter to Rabat to find out what is going on, we got a form letter back saying that there are delays in the security check process. We are now starting week 7 with no news. I had purchased a very special present for my husband and he will not be here for it. There is also a huge family reunion on the irish side of my family and people will be coming from all over the world, he won't be here for that. I pray he is here before Christmas.

When I talked to my MP, she told me that my husbands medical is expiring soon, so I am really torn. I am not sure what to do, whether we should do it again since we were told it takes 4 months to hook the medical up with the file. I don't want to have the visa ready only to have to wait for the medical to come back.

Hi Becca and Lynn,

My Husband said his interview seemed to go very well. The Agent was very pleasant, but of course to the point on many questions as many on this Forum mentioned.

The interview finished by my Husband being told that they will call him. There was no mention of when. The other people that were interviewed about the same time were told the same thing. He could hear that they were not told when they would be called either.

Another step of the wait begins

I will let you know if we get any news.
I believe that everything will be in God's planned time. We have faith that all happens in it's time for a reason.

Becca, Please try not to worry too much, I know you are missing your Husband terribly, but I really believe that he is accepted, but stuck in the slow wheels of the security check. I think they are taking longer to get the security check information back to the Embassy.

There are sooooooo many people on the other Forum in the same position. They were not given a decision, and they have been waiting for 2,3,even 4 months, but no one was refused, just waiting. All that were refused , were refused 1 or 2 weeks after the interview. They have been calling, and Emailing, and faxing the Embassy without any answer. The patience is running thin because the waiting is getting unbearable for them also. The calls for the Visa's are just trickling in.

Keep your faith, and you will be with your Husband soon.

I miss my Husband so much too. We meet every morning and every night online, but It hurts not to be next to him. We believe that God allowed us to meet each other, and when the time is right we will begin our lives together in our Home.

Lynn,

Unortunately your Husband seems to be also stuck in those slow wheels of the security check, but your's is much, much , too long. I would hope that someone could help you get an answer about this.
On the Other site a couple was waiting a long time also, since the beginning of January, and their Deputy said that the Embassy had 4 month's to give them their Visa, that is all they were allowed for the security check time, and on the very last day of the 4th month they were called to pick up the Visa. I think if the Deputy chooses, the have the ability to make something happen.

Good luck and God bless everyone who is going through this long and painful process

Best of luck to your husband Hoping75. Seems that interview went well then. I hope the next chapter will be short.

I agree with you those waiting longer than 2-3 weeks, without a refusal letter, means they are just conducting the infamously sluggish security check. It takes longer for some depending on movement within and outside the coutry, type of jobs held, addresses resided at, activities, memberships, affiliation, and of course backlog of these types of checks as we head into summer season. If person has clean background, it's only a matter of time before the series of good news hit this Forum again.

Hey Becca and Boras,

After our discussion on remarry medicals with their files, I emailed the embassy. They just emailed back and said it normally takes 4 weeks. Phewf. I mean what ever "normal" means right?
