Hi:
I have a querry:
My sister is a Canadian Citizen. She wants to sponsor me as Family Member.
She is a single woman (she owns a house and good income) with no spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, son, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, uncle, aunt, niece or nephew who is a Canadian citizen, a registered Indian, a permanent resident or whom you may sponsor as a member of the family class.
Our mother pass away 10 years ago.
Our father still alive but he is a 90 years old man with many disabilities who needs special care due to his age and bad health condition. It would be impossible for him to travel.
Can she sponsor me as "another relative of any age or relationship" because ANY other one?

For Federal Sponsorship, the instructions state that ...
Code:
"In order to use this application, you must, with respect to the sponsor, be:

    parents,
    grandparents,
children adopted outside of Canada or intended to be adopted in Canada,
[u][b]brothers or sisters, nephews or nieces, grandsons or granddaughters who are orphaned, under 18 years of age and not a spouse or common-law partner,[/b][/u]
[b][u]any other family member if there is no [/u][/b]spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, son, daughter, mother, [u][b]father[/b][/u], brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, uncle, aunt, niece or nephew who is a Canadian citizen, registered Indian or permanent resident or [b][u]whom you may sponsor.[/b][/u]"

So as long as she has someone else she may sponsor , you aren't eligible through the national program.

Also, check on her province sponsorship programs - she may be able to sponsor you with provincial nomination depending on what province she lives in.

Since your father is still alive she can't sponsor you.

Hi: Thanks all you gays:
So it does not matter if our father is unable to come because his physical incapacity? It's really impossible for him to come to Canada or any place else.
Also parents and grandparents sponsorhip has been stopped "As of November 5, 2011, no new applications to sponsor parents or grandparents will be accepted for processing for up to 24 months."
My sister lives in Toronto

Nope, as long as he is alive, you are ineligible to be sponsored.
