Online information (from ircc website) and IMM334 has me confused!

If you sponsored BOTH parents who are still married to each other, did you create ONE account through the PR portal, and then list 1 parent as principal applicant and another as the spouse?

If you did this, then did you just complete 1 IMM334 form? This form has sections for just the principal applicant, not the spouse. It also says next to "principal applicant" that is the "person you are sponsoring". Well, I'm also sponsoring my mom, whom I have listed as the spouse.

OR

Did you create TWO separate accounts, one for each parent?

One application.

Follow the instructions. One parent is the primary applicant while the other one is technically just a dependent.

In the instructions it simply says that this form needs to be completed by sponsor, co-signer (if applicable) and principal applicant. Then it says principal applicant is the person you're sponsoring. This is why it's not clear. A person may have 10 dependents but they are not being sponsored. So even though you have to provide their information, they are not part of the equation. My worry is that they will think that the spouse isnt being sponsored.

You are technically sponsoring one parent and their dependent which is their spouse in this case.

My parents’ passports were renewed after I submitted the 2020 Interest to Sponsor form. I do not recall whether I included their passport details in that submission. If anyone has a copy of the 2020 Interest to Sponsor form, it would greatly help me clarify this matter.

Has no impact on their application
