Sponsoring a dependant Child from within Canada

I am not thinking to deceive ... actually i am in the middle of the situation where i know that he will be coming to live here from April permanently and at the moment he just spent 4 months in canada in a whole year... by the time CHC will be processing the application, hopefully he will be here and all the documents i mentioned below are genuine.

Then just tell the truth that he is not residing in Canada at the moment but visiting frequently and preparing to move here in April. You can send whatever evidence you have mentioned to support that you are telling the truth.

Now it is becoming clearer having had a chance to get background details from other posts.

I believe your husband needs to really get all his information together about his residency obligation since there may be some question as to his having met it and it appears he is aware of that possibility.

The application submitted for your youngest child sounds like it may be an H&C having been done from within Canada? If that is the case then the assessment has some other criteria than an application submitted from outside Canada. Even if not an H&C if there is concern about your husband's status it could in turn affect the processing of your child's application if the decision maker is concerned about any type of misrepresentation.

Hi Tirmizi, I don't have an answer to your question, but rather needed to ask you how long did it take from the moment your sent the application to sponsor your child from within Canada until the moment in which you received notification that they had received the documents? I have the same case, we are PRs but my newborn was born in the USA due to personal reasons. I left to have him in April and came back to Canada in May 2012 and applied to sponsor my son in July. I sent the documents on the 20th of July and got the mail notification that documents were delivered on the 23rd. I just want to have an idea of how long will this process take for a dependent child to get his PR within Canada, since the processing times on the CIC website for sponsored people within Canada talks only about Spouses or Common Law Partners (It says 11 months).
