Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone can enlighten me. I'm a Canadian Citizen who came to Ireland on the Working Holiday Program just over a year ago. The day I arrived in Ireland I met a wonderful Irishman, he was my sister tour buddy from 2 years ago. To say the least things went extremely well... We got married in Vancouver BC last October. We're currently both in Ireland now & we've both decided that Vancouver is where we want to live. So I want to sponsor him to Canada as we both think we'd be happier there.
So here's my questions...
1. To show intent that I'm serious about moving back to Canada, I have to have a job offer. Is this a serious offer? What has to be shown in the offer. My ex-boss says he can provide one but wants to know if he will be held liable in any way & wants to know what has to be in the offer. Will they call him?
2. Would it speed up the process if my Irish husband had a work visa? He is an Electrical Engineer & from what I understand. We can apply for a work visa without having the LMO completed as he is in the correct job category. Does this mean we are applying for a Spouse Sponsorship, PR visa & also a work visa all at once?
3. If we apply outside of Canada & then move in the process to Canada, does this slow down the process? Do they move the application from London to Canada then?
4. My Irish husbands mom has cancer at the moment. If we are in Canada during this process & he was to leave Canada to go see his mother. How does it effect his visa status? I'm under the impression that Canadian government would understand a compassionate visit to Ireland.
5. Does my husband need to certify or do a test for his education in anyway? He is an Electrical Engineer with University qualifications.
I think that's all my questions for now. I'm sure I'll have more coming.
Thanks in advance!
