Hi everyone!
I've been reading your posts for a couple of months, thanks for all the advices you already provided me! So I have a lot of question about my case but let's beggin with that one: Should I declare that I live outside Canada or not?
There is my situation:
- I am going "live" with by boyfriend at the end of november in Peru. We plan to get married and apply for his PR maybe by march or april.
- I don't know exactly when I will come back to Canada, but probably by september. Il believe by the time we apply for sponsorship I will have the exact date. I have a round-trip ticket but I will change the date of return. So I would be like maybe 10 months living over there.
- My status in Peru will be turist for the firsts months. I can apply for temporal residency after we got married so I suppose I will and maybe I could work for a couple of months.
- My main source of income is still a job in Canada. I do freelance work for a canadian company part time. I can all do that using Internet.
- Has I live in Quebec, I can ask for a year living abroad without loosing my right to public medical insurance (RAMQ)
- I will not have any lease or property in Canada for living. Like every time I travel I will just look for something else when I come back.
So, what do you think? I would like to declare that I am living in Canada but currently in Peru for temporary period. For the only reason than I don't know how I could prove than I plan to "settle back in Canada"(certainly not looking for a job or a appartment 6 months before I come back). But I don't know if I can do that has I will be there more than 6 months. On the other hand, I suppose it kinds of prove than the relationship is guenuine.

Thanks!
