Hi,

Would need guidance on sponsorship of dependent child

Its mentioned-on form 1344 if there is any social assistance then not eligible for sponsorship. Does that apply to primary sponsor too - like primary sponsor (Father) has not applied for any child benefits but if co-sponsor (spouse) applies for childcare benefit will that go against sponsorship application even if co-sponsor (co - signer) mentioned as NO in form.

Can we do that. Please guide

A better question is whether childcare benefit is considered social assistance. And my answer is, no, I don't think it is, but I'm not 100% certain.

Check that first.
