Sponsor Application Decision Made: Most probably Rejection

Hi,

I have sponsored my wife's application. All the documents were submitted correctly but in application I made a mistake.
SCHEDULED A BACKGROUND/DECLARATION (IMM5669) (12-2012) E

In this form by mistake in Question # 6, I answered NO in all the question.
I should have answered Yes to 6 (d) but I did NO in all of them.

6(d) been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a CSQ) or application to Provincial Nominee or visitor or temporary rsident visa, to Canada or any other country??

Previously, my wife had applied for visitor and I missed this Question to answer. And I answered NO to all. Now what are my options?
How to re-apply?
Can I apply with the same application or do I have to start my application again?
What about the Police clearance and medicals report.......do my wife need to do medicals and police clearance again??

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

CIC may not see this error until they start the processing for stage 2. If you are approved as the sponsor - I would withdraw / cancel the application asap and resubmit it again with this error corrected.

If at all possible, you want to avoid a situation where CIC makes a finding of misrepresentation and issues a two year ban.

Your wife will have to obtain new police clearances. You can use the same medical.

thanks for the reply, but my status online is Decision made. Can I still withdraw my application or shall I wait to hear back from them?? well I have made a big mess here.....

I don't really have an answer to your question, but I would re-submit that form with an updated one immediately. Write a cover letter explaining it was an honest mistake and not intentional.

Hi RPandey,

The "decision made", is that showing using the UCI number for you or the file number of the applicant? Coz, as far as I know, these 2 are 2 different things. One decision made is for your approval as an eligible sponsor the other one is the whole application.

Thanks to both of you. The Status Decision made is under my UCI, so I'm guessing its decision for the sponsor. I'll try to add a updated form with correction and cover letter ASAP. I have already sent an email to Mississauga office informing them about the correction. I'll try to send them a form with correction tomorrow

I could be wrong here but if dm is coming up in your uci and your being sponsored I believe hat is a final dm.habe you got you aip?

Under my wife's uci is says decision made but That's for here as a sponsor and under my uci it still says in process

My wife don't have UCI yet. What do you mean by aip?? Is it application in process?? I have only got the application# and when I check with application number nothing there. But under my UCI it shows Decision made. I call'd the call center and they said nothing has been sent to you yet!! So I'm planning to add a document to my file

Finally got an email from them saying I met the requirements to sponsor my wife. Also i have already sent them the IM5669 with the correction info and cover letter stating the correction to add to my file number. Hope that would work for me. Thanks guys for your prompt suggestions and reply

Thanks, yes the day before I sent them an email and fax but just only a cover letter. They have received the hard copy with cover letter today and I did stated in the hard copy that I have already sent an email and fax for the same issue. Hope that works out for me!!
