sorry Aquakitty, that question might be silly, but you mean the stamp from the photoshop that makes the pictures ? Just wondering, why cic wants that stamp :) I actually will go in a few hours to Jean Coutu, since I read they make proper Immigration photos for a very good price.

You are not required to have anything on the back of the photos for inland. Don't ask for them to be stamped.

Take this PDF with you to the photographer: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

You need to be very careful about the information you are providing.

That is NOT the correct form to follow when submitting a sponsorship app. That is for people who are applying for their PR card, i.e. a renewal or they never received an initial card.

The guides and checklists specify what, if anything, should go on the photos; some VOs ask for the photos to be blank, some ask for name, dates etc. There is nothing required to be on the back of the photos for inland.

So hopefully there are no dumb questions:

"Supply four (4) recent photos.. follow instructions in appendix B..."
"the photos must... be identical, from the same negative"

So. Photographer takes 1 photo with those specifications, and prints it out 4 times?

Excellent. And I do not see it say anywhere that it's to be stamped or whatever, so Im confused.

Some countries require information (name, date etc.) on the photos, some don't. Nothing is required on the photos for US applicants, so don't put anything on yours.

Uh, the OP did not state inland or outland. I was simply suggesting something they should double check.

You were responding to erdberrchen, who had clearly stated the app was inland. You didn't say double check, you said to make sure they were stamped properly, without even checking to see of they are supposed to be stamped for inland.

thank you canuck_in_uk :) I got the pics now and the photographer stamped them on the back, even though I did not asked for it. Next week we send everything and I will double triple check if everything is complete !
