Im just wondering if ever the sponsored spouse is granted the visa, can the principal applicant go back home and get the sponsored spouse and enter canada together? Can someone give some info..

Yes, I don't see any problem with that unless the Sponsor is living outside Canada to begin with. If you can show that you left Canada in order to accompany the principal applicant back, that should be all right.

Hi
there is no problem with that. as long as the principal applicant is a canadian citizen and not a permanent resident. i am a canadian citizen and im sponsoring my spouse from mexico and when he gets approved and we go back i will enter with him. also because we have 2 large dogs that will be coming with us. it would be to much work for him to bring them alone. :)

but yes you can enter with your spouse, theres no problem with that.

LeisaP: im not yet a citizen only permanent residence..so imiss u not allowed to go with entering canada then?

Oh okay. well as far as i know if you are a permanent resident you have to stay in canada until the spouse lands.
but if i were you i would call cic or go to your local immigration office and ask if you are allowed to leave and enter with him. they may not have a problem with it because it is a short trip. but its best you ask first so nothing gets complicated.

it doesnt hurt to ask right and most of the time they are helpful

good luck! :) i hope everything works out!
