I am surprised/worried to see this as primary reason for rejection, because based on my understanding (from reading different topics and blogs)- insufficient funds is most probably secondary reason provided by Canadian officers. If they have started giving this as primary reason that means either they are not sure about :
  • Future Income Source of sponsoring spouse
or
  • Current salary range of sponsoring spouse as per NOC classification

Unless you have more information about Why they rejected application - there is no point to ask for reconsideration primarily because you already provided more than sufficient amount in your and your spouses account means you fulfilled that reason

Keep us posted

Is sponsoring spouse a student in your case ?

I got same refusal reason today..insufficient fund and financial assets..

I showed $17000 in my account and $6000 in he account plus her property ..

What can I do now? Should I re apply?

Hi
I see you post this one in many different place. I can suggest some for you if you like. If you applied my yourself or my back home agent than I can recommend you to take help from Canadian lawyer. I see many success cases who got rejection.

this was my first chance and i did applied it from canadian lawyer only.
Be honest brother after reading so many post in this forum. If your representative is able to give good arguments to convince officer then you can get easily visa without showing such big bank balance.
