SOWP December 2016 applicants

When did u apply fr PR and when u got aor ? Is it paper application?

We created express entry profile on Jan 2nd
Received ITA on Jan 12th
Then gathered all the required documents
Submitted PR application on March 4th
It's an online application

When its taking almost everyone we hear from in this forum more than 80-90 days to even have the file opened, why is the processing time still showing 10 weeks? As per cic website, processing time is avg time taken to 'complete' the processing. If there was more clarity from their side on processing times, what days' application is currently being processed etc, we could have had more peace of mind.

Yes especially spousal visas are very depressing mentally being away from loved ones.
As most of them are recently got married and got apart in very few days.
It's really painful

Anybody who could successfully get visitor visa for spouse?
SOWP is nerve wrecking. Just can't handle the dilemma.

Yes even my husband adviced me to apply for visitor visa but I wantedly applied for sowp because the success rate was high for sowp compared to trv.
But everyday I get scoldings from my husband as it is getting delay.
The only point I see for the successful visitor visa is POF.
And secondly that proving that we are going to return back after our visa gets expired.

Yes, it takes more than 70 days. Got my passport request and I have submitted it yesterday. So, it took me 100 days till now.

Are both the cases of passport request on 7th and 16th March WP or SOWP?Looks like all the work permit applications are getting processed first.

I got an mail stating an interview in new Delhi immigration office.
Asked to get the proof of marriage.
And proof of communication.
Let's hope for the best.

Congratulations priyabhee!
This happens to a few candidate not all. But its easy to handle. All you have to make sure is that You say everything as you stated in you Explanation letter and if he asks something about returning to home country, you have to convince him on that. Thats it.
