Because as far I know pgwp cannot be extended .
If you applied for express entry and received ITA.after submitting PR application you will receive AOR.then you spouse can apply for bowp and you can also apply for sowp simultaneously.

HI Priyabee, I also submitted my sowp application on 20th December and have heard nothing till now not even medical request. But same as your case my husband applied for PR and updated his file and I did my medical for PR on 15th January.
I have not sent cse for work permit to inform that I have done my medical for PR. Do you think I should submit the medical receipt through cse for work permit or they can automatically pick it up from our PR file.
It is taking too long now.

I sent CSE stating that we got ITA and done our medicals .
I attached medicals documents and invitation letter of PR also .
Because I want to make some way my application strong like for sowp they may reject saying I may not return back to home country etc.but what I thought is if we already got PR invitation.they may not reject in that sense and all
And moreover we need to indicate all the changes happening.
I think they may get the notification even without informing.
But what is wrong in dropping a CSE and doing our work right?
