i have got CSQ( from quebec its a same as PNP.)
I am working in NOC B job .and my wife is in india .i wanna apply for her visa .do i need to show proof of funds in her account in india?
or can i get afidavite of support from her dad in india and put her father bank statement and land and house valuation report including affidavite of support from her dad and i show 10000$ in canadian bank , is that gonna work?

and its good to attach PNP latter or not?

please suggest me guys i am confused...

HI Harsh,

If you have CSQ (PNP) usually proof of funds are not required.....and do attach CSQ ... I have read so many post how got rejection and later on when they attached PNP they got their approvals.. also make sure you provide job offer later with detail job description similar to NOC code you belong.

they already know and it's always good to clear intention instead showing dual intent .... if your spouse is doing job do attach letter of employment from her ...that will help.

I applied for my wife's SOWP on March 18th,2016. Paper based application submitted at VFS New Delhi. The application in still in processing. it's already been more than two months. Is someone in the same situation. Or did someone got approved who applied around that time in New Delhi. I will appreciate your reply.

I have applied on March 23, 2016 for SOWP for my wife online with upfront medicals. I got an update that she has cleared the medicals within a week. There is no update so far. I submitted a case specific enquiery since the processing time has passed. :'(

I got the ETA number for my wife's SOWP and it says approved on the tracker. On the VFS tracker, it still says that it is under processing. Can you please let me know how long does it takes normally for the next step and what is going to be the next step actually. Will she receive a letter of introduction now?

First of all i would like to thank each one of you for doing such a nice job by sharing your experiences and opinions here. I have been a regular reader of this and other forums on this website. Just sharing my story in brief:

I am on a post grad work permit in Ontario, canada since May 2014 and is valid until next year May.

My wife is in India currently and below is the timeline synopsis for her SOWP:

Applied online : october 2015, refused in September 2015
Re-applied : December 2015, refused in Feb 2015
Visitor visa filed in March 2016(filed against my wish : refused in 3 weeks

With a frustrated but a bit more researched mind: Applied paper based application using an attorney at VFS Delhi on 19th april

Medical Requested : 5th May
medical Done : 7th may

on the link it says UNDER PROGRESS

Any idea what is the recent timeline after the Medical exam ?

- cover letter
- relationship background
- Application form
- Family info form
- Use of rep form
- previous refusal letters (2 refusals for SOWP and 1 for visitor visa)
- Statutory declaration (sponsorship letter)
- checklist
- instructions for the visa officer

My documents - (from Canada)


- Work permit copy
- passport copy - all pages
- letter of employment
- pay stubs (i attached all of them since i started working)
- Bank statement for the last 6 months (balance approx $5000.00)
- proof of visits (boarding passes, pictures)
- tax returns (notice of assessments, T4s)

Wife's documents - (from india)


- previous employment history (job letter, pay slips, bank statement)
- travel history (she had 3 international trips - 2 to london and 1 to brisbane australia)
- passport (original, submitted upfront)

Proof of funds


- Wife's salary account statement for the last 6 months (balance : approx Rs 2,40,000)
- joint bank account (approx Rs 4 lakhs)
- My bank statement as stated above

Proof of relationship

- Marriage certificate
- Wedding pictures (around 40 pictures - 20 each from my side and wife's)
- old pictures of me and my wife before we got married (since 2007)

That's almost everything. I may have missed to list one or two but will update this if i recall anything later.

Should I apply 'Online-SOWP-Spouse Open Work Permit' from India ?

or

Is it better to apply 'Online-SOWP' after my wife arrived in Canada on visitor visa for 3 months ?77

You don't need PCC its not a requirement. In case they ask for PCC only then you have to submit the document -which is very rare (haven't seen any case so far).
