Can I apply for OWP online from Canada with upfront medical examination from India, while I am on tourist visa in Canada and how much processing time it takes to get the OWP visa?

Can someone please help me, I am really confused?

I don't know what the hell is going on at CIC. I have applied for SOWP online with upfront medicals on March 23,2016. I got an update as my wife has passed medicals within a week. It says 2 months for processing. Today is 70th day.I didn't get anything so far.I submitted a case specific enquiry too. What could happen next? Is there any way to contact call centers? Does it work?

1.Passport
2.Offer letter
3.Pay slips
For spouse
1.Passport
2.Educational certificated for bachelors

I applied on 18th march through VFS New delhi, Because i heard paper applications are processed faster. I haven't received any update since then. I don't know what they are doing. It's really frustrating.

today i linked my paper application submitted at vfs new delhi to mycic account and got the application number. I did not know we could do that.

I submitted the application on 18th march with upfront medicals. it says we need you your medical information and we sent you this requirement on 20th april. i did not get any mail from cic. is there any way to upload my document online. my online status says we need info from you but there is no place to upload document. Do you some one know how to contact cic through phone so that i can request them to open the upload document link so that i can upload the copy.

Please help.

Hi same problem with me, I linked my application to cic online but Ive done my medical last april 30 but still cic says "we need medical info"... do u think inquiring thru CSE would help it if its recieved or not? Im worried eh

I submitted the medical again through CSE (The same one i submitted earlier) five days ago, haven't heard about any update since then. The situation becoming more and more tensed everyday.

Even me since I submitted my passport together with application, prolly they wont contact me for passport request but upto now there is no decision made yet... I hope to hear from them...

Hi all, first of all please have a glance at my current status.

I am on a PG work permit in Canada expiring on November 6th and going to apply for an extension next month (early July). I have received my PNP and also applied MY PR application and received the file number. I am working in NOC "A" category. Now the question is I've applied for a Spousal Open Work Permit for my wife who is India right now.

Application applied: April 29th (Online application) (Applied through an Immigration Consultant)
Havn't received anything yet.

Is there anyone out in the same boat?

I think you should contact cic cuz it has already exceeded the prescribed processing time.

Hi All, My timeline

Visa applied :- 18th march (paper based through VFS new delhi)- With upfront medical
Medical Request :-20th april (with a deadline of 30 days)- the mail went to spam folder
Linked application online:- 6th June (the god the application status was open as the 30 days to submit medicals had been passed)
Medical submission :- 6th June (through CSE explaining the reason for late submission as the mail was received in the spam folder)
Medical approved :- 15th June
Visa Approved :- 16th June
