For the “employment/source of income” portion of the checklist— would providing a copy of a signed job offer letter be sufficient proof of source of income? should we also be including copies of our bank statement? is there a minimum required account balance or income in order to be approved as a sponsor?

Thank you

While program? Spousal? Parent/grandparent?

Spousal — sorry! Will be sponsoring my husband and our baby.
I believe I've read from your posts before that you're a Canadian citizen? So therefore you wouldn't be sponsoring your baby as he/she would be a Canadian as well. So to sponsor your husband, there is no minimum income requirement or saving requirement. You're working in the states, yes?Your signed job offer letter should be sufficient.

I am a citizen by descent so I am not able to pass it down to my son so I have to sponsor him. In the States I am currently working very part time, my husband supports us financially. I do have a job offer in Toronto that is full time. Should that be enough? Or does the fact that I have a dependent I am sponsoring change that?

Oh sorry! That's still fine, there's no requirements for dependant children either, just thought I was helping clear something but I was obviously wrong. Your letter is still fine. I'd also suggest including something from your work now. For that section we included a couple payslips to show we were financially stable (and the payslips were also used to show our joint address). We also wrote a short personal statement about how my partner has full-time work and supports himself financially while I only work casually and occasionally receive his support (even though I'm the sponsor).
