my parents did their medical exam today for their visit visa. My dad need to take another test, dr. says it will take two months for the result to come back. they we're only given 30 days to complete the exam, can they have this 30 days extended? I am so upset that we have spent so much money and time for application and exam only for it to be denied just because the stupid exam takes forever to come back.
i am so frustrated!!!!!

Sounds like a test for 'Aspergillus IgE' for tuberculosis. Guessing from 2 months window. Did the doctor/hospital give you the eMedical document? If yes, then send that eMedical document and that's all. If they didn't give you the document then send an email to the processing office. Its very common and they will put the file on hold until medical is clear.

They have concerns your father shows signs of TB. This is why the additional tests are required. TB is taken very seriously in Canada and it has to be ruled out in your father's medical before he can be approved. The results take two months to come back because this is how much time is needed to see if the cultures are positive or negative.

Yes - you can request an extension. However I would recommend completing the test as soon as possible to avoid longer wait times.
