Hi Folks...we got our IMM 5688 Confirmation of Permanent residence in January. There are two valid dates on the document. One shows, 12/16/2014 and the other is 12/01/2020. Can someone explain when we must "land" in Canada? If it is required to land by 12/16/2014, can we land for example on 12/01/2014 or is that too close in case there are problems with the COPR? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You must land before or on 12/16/2014.

You can certainly land on 12/01/2014 if you wish.

Thank you for responding. We were concerned that if any problems arose at the border that landing so close to the expiration date could be a problem if we were missing any documents that are needed.
