Soft Landing in Canada while H1B is in process

Hi,

My fiancee is an Indian citizen currently based out of Miami, US. She recently received her PPR and has to land in Canada by the end of the year. However, the company she works for has applied for an H1B visa for her and if it gets picked, it will be difficult for her to leave the country until the whole process goes through.

Wanted to know if anyone else here has faced a situation like this and is there any way she can travel to Canada (preferably in July)?

What's her status in the US right now? She doesn't have a valid visa? If she does, then what's stopping her from travelling?

In any case, she has to land in Canada before her CoPR expires. If she doesn't, she will have to go through the entire process again. There is no way to get an extension.

Hey thanks for your reply. She's currently under her STEM OPT period. Any ideas on if she can travel to Canada before she knows her H1B is getting picked or not?

Does she have a valid F1?

She can certainly return in F1 status, the pending H1B petition makes no difference in most cases. When does her OPT end? (because cap-gap will complicate matters). Also, it is better if her F1 Visa is valid, however it is not a big deal because of AVR.
