Social Workers 4152, Applied already/going to apply!

Dear All,

Glad to find this group.
I am currently in Saudi Arabia and plan to file my papers by Oct 2011 for social worker.

Three question to start with

Question 1
I have done my post graduation(MSW) from New Delhi, India
While submitting my educational degree/transcript... do I need to get any specific attestation (like from university, or ministry of external affairs ..etc ?)

Question 2
For the funds, can i show my husband's account and get credit for the funds... or its a must to have funds in my own accounts.

Question 3
Do I need to submit Police reports and Medicals for me and my husband along with initial application or it has to be done later ?
Whats the best approach, given the fact that I am not in India and it might take some time to get these reports from India ?

As u have completed Master's in Social Work there is no problem for u to apply. U need some documents attestation. *O,A levels all documents photocopy and attested. *Hon's and Master's original transcript and sealed by university. U can't open. Hon's and master's certificate photocopy and attested.

Question 2
For the funds, can i show my husband's account and get credit for the funds... or its a must to have funds in my own accounts.
Yes it should be ur own account. If u principle applicant no other account will be accepted. So make sure u send ur own account
Question 3
Do I need to submit Police reports and Medicals for me and my husband along with initial application or it has to be done later ?
Whats the best approach, given the fact that I am not in India and it might take some time to get these reports from India ?
They will ask u about Police clearance and medical. So u don't need to submit with application
Hope it might help u and I will be glad if it is.

Here is what I understood from your reply regarding Question1
a. All documents of education below hons and masters, only attested photocopy needs to be submitted
b. Hons and master's certificate photocopy again attested
c. Transcript of hons and masters sealed by university

For point a, b ... please clarify whose attestation is required

For point c, does it mean that
a. I need to ask my university to re-issue hons and masters transcripts in sealed envelopes
b. Or I get university stamped transcripts for hons and masters

ATTESTED BY NOTARY PUBLIC WHO GOT THE LICENCE FROM GOVT.
For point c, does it mean that

YES U NEED HONS AND MASTERS IN SEALED ENVELOPS
b. Or I get university stamped transcripts for hons and masters

To all ,i am quite new to this forum and planing to apply under NOC 4125, i have master of science in home economics from University of Dhaka in Child development & Family Relations. I have been working with a NGO as a social worker for more then 6 years and my job responsibilities fits with the NOC 4125 requirement. So what is the suggestion for me ? I am able to get 67 points. pls pls advise me.

What you need now is your EILTS (if you haven't already got it), work experience letter, proof of funds for FSW1 application
Or get job offer and apply for FSW2.

NOC 4212 is not on the eligible 29 list! I think u can apply under NOC4152 if u can show that u performed the duties mentioned under the ministerial instruction for social workers for a least 1 yr within the last 10 yrs. You first need to do the eligibility test, check previous posts on this thread for more info. CIC site shd be ur point of reference.....Mandie

thanks mandie... my experience for the 4212 is more than five years.. got training and certificates to perform as 4212... my college degree is not in social services...

I think you mean the NOC: ‘4152’. Just apply ASAP because there is cap of 500 applications, maximum!
Just prepare with a check list of below documents for you and your spouse(if Applicable):
1. Check List (Singapore VO)
2. Application for PR in Canada (Principal)
3. SCHEDULE 1: BACKGROUND DECLARATION (For both)
4. SCHEDULE 3: ECONOMIC CLASSES
5. ADDITIONAL FAMILY INFORMATION (IMM 5406) (For both)
6. Photo (6)(Both)
7. Police Clearance Certificate (For both)
8. Stock Exchange Certificate & Transaction Statement (if Have)
9. Bank Certificate (All BANKs)
10. IELTS Result (Original)
11. Supervisor's Business Card
12. Letter of Reference (Duration, Responsibilities, Salary)

14. Training certificates (if Available)

HI

I have applied under Singapore visa office on June 14, 2011. I sent all documents with application. However, I send photocopy (xerox copy) of my academic transcript. Is it going to problem, I mean did CIC except my file if other is ok.
