Guys
I've been this site almost 10/15 days still I don't know something. Would anyone mind to answer me the following:

1) What is PER and when I should get this as my application arrived at CIO on 9th May 2011?
2) What is NER and ................................................................................................?

I've read somewhere in this blog that NER/PER should receive 26-45 days after file receive by CIO. I that case Am I unlucky person as today is 45 days my file arrived at CIO and no option to get anything today and tomorrow. Is it normal delay and special case. Anyone here who send application by first or second week of May and waiting for NER, PER and AOR.

Let me know as I'm thinking so much about this.

Thanks ;)
Olive
Olive all the time stated is estimated, there is no hard n fast rule related to the time, its just that previously ppl got their PER/NER in 2-3 months of time and now due to cleared back log (previous applications) they are processing cases swiftly........ ! which also depends on the visa office actually but u can say that almost after 1 to 1.5 months applicants are receiving the PER/ NER !

i hope i did make ur point clear ? Just relax and pray! :) Best of luck! :)
Zeem !

FSW Program for 2011/2012

The Minister has announced that the current Occupation List will be continued for the coming year BUT the maximums have been halved; i.e., 500 per occupation, 10,000 in total.

Now, for applicants who do not have an offer of employment in Canada, the government will further limit the number of new federal skilled worker applications that are considered for processing to 10,000 a year, beginning July 1. This limit will help better align the number of applications with labour market demand. Within the 10,000 limit, a maximum of 500 new applications in each of the current 29 priority occupations will be considered.

Dear all,
500 cap will reach just in a blow. Please prepare yourself.
Regards
Deshi

If they are updating then all the NOC should be late. Some of other NOC getting their PER. Whatever you heard may be its for NOC 4152

But Thanks............. ;)

Dear Zuma, first of all, welcome to the group! As there is going to be a change to the rule in July, I guess your application will be post June 2011 in which you would have to follow the new rule to the letter. General points to consider before applying for FSW1 ( if this doesn't change with the new rule!) for FSW1:
1. You need to score 67 or more points in total in order to be eligible. Tahe eligibility test here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp
2. You have performed the dutiesof a social worker (listed here) for at least one year within the last 10 yrs:
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/ProfileDescription.aspx?val=4&val1=4152&val27=social+worker&val28=0&val29=0&val30=2&val31=2&val32=2&val33=2&val34=2&val35=2&val36=2&val37=2&val38=1&val39=0&val40=Section
3.IETS is mandatory, required for proof of English proficiency
4. Check this official site for all the information you need:beware! this info might change with the new rule coming up on 1st July
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp
Hope this helps...good luck! Mandie
