Hi Olive....

In my case, CHC did not call or mail my work place to verify.

As per my understanding, they may call or write to your employer if they find something missing in your experience letter. They usually don't bother to do all these, if everything is found to be in order and in accordance with the CIC guidelines. Still it depends on visa office and officer too.

Applied on: 5th Nov,2010
Visa Office: Singapore
Application reached to CHC: 10th Nov,2010
1st AOR: 22nd Feb,2011
Spouse's file sent: 7th Mar,2011
2nd AOR: 16th April,2011
Online application status shows: Received by VO (till now)

I am hoping for the best. Does anyone know how long it will take to get into the next step?

How long it takes to get AOR from CIO...? I heard some people gets early, some 3/4 months. Can anyone let me know. If u got how long it took to get? One of my relatives got that letter within 37 days.

Average time for May applicants according to the tracker is 36-45 days (more if unlucky), but I my guess is you would hear something sooner. Mandie

One thing i would like to ask is that do u get ur PER / NER via courier as well in addition to the email ?

I've been this site almost 10/15 days still I don't know something. Would anyone mind to answer me the following:

1) What is PER and when I should get this as my application arrived at CIO on 9th May 2011?
2) What is NER and ................................................................................................?

I've read somewhere in this blog that NER/PER should receive 26-45 days after file receive by CIO. I that case Am I unlucky person as today is 45 days my file arrived at CIO and no option to get anything today and tomorrow. Is it normal delay and special case. Anyone here who send application by first or second week of May and waiting for NER, PER and AOR.

Let me know as I'm thinking so much about this.
