Social Workers 4152, Applied already/going to apply!

Dear All,

I received my medical & Pakistan PCC request with all my original documnets back today through TCS. On 15th Sep 2012 I got request for updated forms, RPRF, 10 months bank statement, and Kuwait PCC request which I sent to LVO on 25th Sep and received at LVO on 26th Sep 2012. Today I received my medical dated 11th Oct 2012.

Thanks to all for your support, and I pray that all waiting get their medical & PPR soon INSHA- ALLAH.

Got an email from LVO to send some docs of my spouse ... (as i got him added in their books recently)...

they wrote my file is awaiting review... what does that means ? any idea >

If I am not wrong, Social Worker is very slow NOC. I hardly see applicants of this NOC get MR than other NOCs. I am same timeline of you and RBVO from 18 months. Really it is frustrating.

Hello All,

There is any update on the credential assessment???? since social work is regulated should I go straight to the council of Social Work to be assess or should I wait for the announcement????

If I am not wrong, Social Worker is very slow NOC. I hardly see applicants of this NOC get MR than other NOCs. I am same timeline of you and RBVO from 18 months. Really it is frustrating.

As you guessed , I have also same understanding towards NOC 4152.

I filed my application in August 2011. My MR issued in November and hopefully few months earlier. My consultant misplaced it.
My medical results have been received by CHC New Delhi in 26 Nov.

I wish all applicants under 4152 will receive MR very soon.

I also applied as social worker. before applying I completed my credential evalution from Canadian Association of Social Worker CASW. I got my result that my degree is equalant to Canadian Master of Social Work MSW. Then I sent my Result to Alberta College of Social Work for Practice Permit and they replied me that just pay fee and fill the form and send along with Police Clearance Certificate to us we will issue you a practice permit then you can work in all Alberta...

I sent my application and it received on 18 Apr.

This is my first post on the forum. I wanted to know how long does CASW take to assess our degrees. I also wanted to know since CIC has told that they need assessments from 2013 if it is ok to have an assessment from stipulated agency or have a permit from provincial regulatory bodies.

By the way Gen.Gudu were you based in Canada when you applied for ACSW permit. How long did they take to grant you practice permit? Do we need a practice permit in order to gain points under the new rules or an assessment is enough? Any reply would be highly appreciated.

Compliment of the season i discovered this and other thread november2012 and i have been reading through
them and gathering information. I applied since may 2011 under the 4152 Noc category my first degree was in
Public Administration.

I have read the webpage of CASW but noticed that they only assess/evaluate degrees in SOCIAL WORK, please
how can i get them to assess my degree? Meanwhile i currently work as a social worker in the community and
correctional dept of a ministry/local govt authority in my country.

I am in the maintime preparing to order for credential evaluation from World Education Services.

how r u, guys i have an interview on 4/02/2012, in Abu Dhabi, i heard from many members that they will ask abt, u plannes for canada and ? (2) Did you register yourself or Member of any profession body in Canada? so for social worker there is CASW, but i didn't contacted then yet, because evrybody told that u contact them after medicals, so guys i need help now, what should answer of this????? social worker should apply to CASW or any Provincial membership? i am planning for Ontarion as my sister is there????????
