Lets not demotivate ourselves, Ann.... They need Social workers thats why they are recruiting, it is slow moving becos they wld b busy in other things as well like answering mails/rejection reasoning etc. Patience bears sweet fruit.... All well that ends well....

B +ve.....

today's latest update on CIC website about applications received:

Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, the CIO cannot review each application for completeness on the same day it arrives at the office. The numbers on this page are updated at least once a week, but these figures are meant as a guide only. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time it reaches the CIO.

Pls don't part with your money. CIC are very smart and they will reject your application. Wait and see if Social work will still be on the list and then apply. You can also look at provincial or work permit routes which require a Canadian job offer.

if you have a AEO you dont have to worry about the cap dude..but ofcourse 10 lacs is a huge amount....if hes covering everything inclusing the maintainenance of funds, visa fess,AEO in 10L then its kool.

I dont think so! I have applied to lots of jobs even though I am not in Canada yet. Had a phone interview and made it to one social service's waiting list for future vacancies, and this is for the NOC applied for. Researching Canadian employment tools (ur CV and cover letter etc), you will get noticed. Also having your credential assessed helps. It might be nearly impossible for some professions to get hired while outside Canada, I must admit.
I suggest that while you wait, have your credentials evaluated, explore more about your occupation in Canada, wages, what employers are looking for, the legal framework (if a regulated occupation) etc. It is not an easy task and it doenst happen one day, takes lots of time and commitment. Good luck!

@ Patel - I was going through other posts n reading their comments... In the posts for the "May 2011 Applicants" there is a comment which says they have got their visas after their address went missing for days together....

Hope for the best....
