Didn't you have the verification? and if yes, was everything OK from your employers?

If there was no verification they might haven't worked upon ur application yet, coz they start working after ur ecas says: In process!
You better send an email to London Vo to have update about ur file's status.

Cheers,

Nashe

Dear Mandie & Nashe,

I was going through my application forms and just now realized that I made a mistake while filling Schedule 3 form Question 11 "Your Work experience" .

I am presently working as Customer Service Executive NOC Code-1213, but by mistake I wrote down NOC code 1233.

I have no idea how I have made such a stupid mistake.

Though this experience of mine will not be counted for work experience as I have not mentioned this job for question 12 -order of preference, is there anything that I should do?

Please reply

Shami

Dear Mandie & Nashe,

You guys might remember myself previously mentioning about NOC code mistake in my schedule 3 form, and based on your advice I decided to wait for CIO ER to be completed and your advice proved to be right too.

Now that I have received the PER ( thanks to both of you), what do you suggest, can I send the forms now to VO or should I wait for my status to turn to RBVO.

Thanks & Regards
Shami

Honestly, I just think you should, it might never become an issue even if you don't point the error out to VO bcos u are not claiming point for this experience. But if you are still uneasy abt this, contact them when it changes to RBVO.

Let me share my own personally experience with you....the following day I received PER, I rushed to VO to give them my PCC, cos one delayed. The person at the counter didn't have a clue what I was on abt! :o. I was fuming, saying this is my VO and I want to submit my PCC before it expires...but bcos they had not received any info abt me, I had to take it back with :D. But last week, I mustered courage and went to there again, telling myself by hook or crook, I ain't going home with the PCC (cos want give itvto VO before it expires). Went to the counter and said, I want to update my file with my PCC. She just said 'write your application number on the envelope'! Still my ecas is ER-S Complete....Just thought to share...Mandie

Dear friends,
I am planning to apply under 4152 (social worker) category. I have 5 years work experience as a social worker. Problem is my Bach. & masters is on English literature. Do you think it would be a problem?

Yaa Shami, you should send the revised forms to the VO, once u r sure that ur app has been received by VO.

Great move Mandie, What i believe is, If ur point is valid, remain stuck to it, and u will get wat u want.

Cheers,

Nashe

There has been a debate on this issue, please go through the same thread and everything will be cleared.

Briefly saying, U can apply as a social worker, even if u don't have a SW degree, but your job duties, should match this NOC.

Best of Luck,
Nashe

What is important is being able to prove work experience as described by the MI and getting the min 67 points. As per the guide, there is not hard and fast rule abt the course one did so far as u can provide proof of degree and also proof of experience (the education vs experience dichotomy lol)....Mandie

Any news Nashe on the PER front? Saying prayers for you that you get it soon. You're the only May 4152 that is still waiting I think, but I could be wrong. Hopefully you get it next week. Good Luck.

Thanks Mandie,

Maybe it doesn't matter, but as you said , that uneasiness feeling is something which I want to get rid off. There is enough stress waiting for the next stage of the application and I dont want to take any chances.

Logically speaking, I go along with you and believe that it might not make any difference, but a part of me does'nt want to hear any of these logical reasoning.

I feel it is better to send the corrected forms once my status turns RBVO, should I send the forms via e-mail or by courier?

Mandie, it was really smart of you to handover the PCC before the expiry. No need to run around for PCC all over again.

Also do concentrate on the road, as Nashe said we can wait for your posts. Take care.

Thanks Nashe,

I do plan to send the corrected forms , once the status turns RBVO.

now that I have decided to send the corrected forms, there again crops up my never ending doubts, whether to send the forms via courier or via e-mail?

God alone knows when I am going to stop with my queries and doubts.
