I heard it is 20 yrs now and was 10 yrs before.

Shouldn’t you have known this so you could determine if you could afford to bring your parents to Canada? There are a lot of costs involved.

That doesn’t make sense . You’re agreeing to a financial undertaking for ones parents , not for a couple years, but for DECADES.
The time “ to be just more informed”, has passed . That time occurred when the application was signed and sent in.

When you signed the form to sponsor your parents, those are the terms. You signed the paperwork and made an agreement with the government.
Do you think the government needs to send you reminders every year? Personally, I think it's a good idea to keep a copy of agreements signed, specially those involved financial commitment.
