Yay!! I'm glad yours finally updated as well! How ridiculous is it that it takes two days to tell us it's delivered?! Even when we had called them, the lady said she knew as much as we did.... And she even said that it might mean our package was lost (it wasn't). And she said she wasn't even authorized to say that to us.... yeah, I wonder why. -_-
I really wish I knew this before!! I also just figured that UPS or FedEx would be more expensive...
Good tip!! :)

Thanks as you can imagine it was a big relief. Just curious did you eventually get to see a signature for your delivery. My signature showed after a few hours after delivery was confirmed.

Ah, yes!! I forgot to mention that I did!
I think mine showed up the next day though. I just decided to randomly check again and it had the signature.

"Out for Delivery" literally means it's out for delivery. Like the mail man/post man loaded it into his mail van/car and is dropping other mail off. So it should get there the day it says "Out for Delivery". Even if it doesn't update to delivered. At least that's what seems to be the pattern.

Oddly enough, I've had the exact opposite experience from most of you here.

I had to send my package to my parents first, so they could include the marriage certificate, letters from them and other family members, wedding cards, etc (none of them are kept with us for safety reasons). So I sent it UPS to them. It was supposed to be delivered on Friday, and only arrived this Wednesday. We called UPS repeatedly, because there were no scans at all on Monday and Tuesday. They had no idea where it was. Then we called again, and they said that the address doesn't exist, that we had put the wrong address. I lived at that house for 11 years, and had UPS packages delivered there, so it definitely exists. They finally figured it out, after claiming that "the apartment number was missing" (it's a house).

My parents sent the package off on Thursday with Canada Post, and it was delivered yesterday.

Hahah how odd!!!
Well, I guess either way... mailing anything with personal information is nerve racking and any delay is stressful and worrisome.

What a horror story! :( I hope this is the only hiccup along the way. :)

We used Canada Post and all went well.

G'luck with the rest of the process...

Thank you! I really hope so as well!!

While we waited for the reply from CIC, we completed the Quebec forms so that they'd be ready to go.

Cheers...

I had a hard time finding them on MICC's website. Do you perhaps have a link?

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/EN/forms/search-title/undertaking-application/index.html

I'm guessing you'll be Kit A?

Click on the link and you'll have to d/l all the PDFs..

The only new document you'll need to provide is a copy of the letter that CIC will send you soon to proceed with QC Immigration. You should have the other documents already from the CIC part...(photocopies of passport page, proof of residence...)

Back in Nov 2013, it took 3 weeks between the Courier Delivered date to CIC and receiving the CIC Letter to proceed with QC.

That's plenty of time to slog through yet another set of documents. :)

G'luck...

Awesome!!! Thank you!! :)

I'm not sure we had to submit any proof of residence to CIC....
I'm sure it won't be too bad! It'd be awesome if we only had to wait 3 weeks for SA!!

Once you submit these two forms, the hardest part is next. Radio silence for god knows how long especially when you pay and do police and medical checks upfront...

Right right since they wouldn't need to request anything.
Although since Canada Post delivered our package late, my FBI background check was expired. So it seems I'll have to order a new one.
