Reading those experiences above (related to Canada Post's services) helped me a lot, so I'd like to share my experience with you too in order to help the next ones that are going to pass through the same situation.
I sent my packake to Mississauga office last monday (January 26, 2015) , by Xpresspost, and it was supposed to be delivered by thursday ( January 29, 2015) . On January 29, 2015, the status was " out for delivery" and it remained " out for delivery" until today February 4, 2015. According to the tracking system, it was delivered on January 29, 2015 and I don't know why it was updated just today.
On monday ( after 4 days my package was " out for delivery" ) I called them a lot and each time I had a different excuse. So, I decided to ask to talk to the supervisor who guaranteed me (after calling Mississauga's office) that my package was delivered, but not scanned. I insisted that I needed a delivery certificate and she sent it to me (although she hesitated a lot).
It is so stressing to prepare those documents (I had to get 9 police certificates, I paid a fortune to translate all of them and , as requested, I had to send the originals) , we pay an expensive service to have peace of mind that it's going to be delivered and peace of mind is everything we don't have with Canada Post.
I used Canada Post 3 times and, in all 3 times, I had problems with them. I won't anymore. Now I learned. My advice is: if you haven't sent your package, don't use Canada Post. If you have already sent, probably, it will be delivered but your confirmation will be sent just after 5-7 days.
Good luck for us !
