Hello,
When submitting pictures of weddings, reception, honeymoon, after wedding events, etc, what size should they be printed as? Standard size is 4 X 6. Or they need to be bigger like 5 X 7?

Also, can I print them and put all in one envelope? I have seen some members saying that they printed and then pasted 2-3 pics on white pages with captions. Is this a good idea?

What is an average number of pictures that people send? I have about 400 pictures, shall I send all 400?

Thanks!!

Standard size is fine. If they are digital pictures, it's easier to drag & drop them onto a MS Word document, then use a colour printer to print the pages. Using electronic photos allows you to re-size them as needed. You can also type an explanation below each picture. i.e. Date, place, event, significance. Otherwise if you include real photos, you should write these details on the back.

400 pictures is too much. For a major event like wedding & reception, I'd include at least 10 pictures. It's the variety and different occasions that matter. In other words, quality not the quantity. Include pictures throughout your relationship up until present time. Always write an explanation of picture... otherwise it's meaningless.

Yes, we included 60 and had no problem whatsoever, so perhaps even 60 was more than enough. We didn't have easy access to a colour printer so used Walmart photo centre at 19 cents for each 4x6.

My husband and I did 600!!! We decided to let them have it. We only explained the ones with closest family and friends and we also gave time captions. The wedding and reception did take quite the bulk of it. All but four (done on one normal paper print out) were 4 by 6 pics.

In the end follow your instinct. Do whatever quantity you want. Most important let them show the development of the relationship (different times you were together) and the people close to you that you have shared your moments with. All the best.

Thanks everyone!..will it be oke to get the pictures printed from walmart and then stick 3 of them on white bond paper? this way it will be easier to write captions besides each picture and will be easy for the visa officer to read..has anyone done this? The reason iam asking is because CIC has mentioned that they want loose pictures.

Thanks!!

I think you can do that. But if you choose to use your hand writing make it as legible as possible. And make your work neat. Sticking may be tricky.

This guy did a very commendable job (though I think my husband did better. lol). Check this link out and see if it helps:
