It should be fast now. CIC received my application on May 9, 2016. 16 months is September 9, 2017. So only over two months left

Hey guys

Posting for a friend of mine. He recently applied for PR under the same category as us but his company wants to cut hours for him since its been slow recently. There are only 3 people working at his work. Would SINP find it an issue that he's working for less hours at the same job that he was nominated for?

I wasn't quite sure to what say but I think it would be okay....

At time of applying for SINP your friend was permanent fulltime. I might be wrong but fulltime is 32-40 hours/week.

This is hard question.

I hope SINP will not find a problem. I hope they will not make your friend parttime as well.

Well I think i'll have him stay quiet about it because he can't quit anyways so if SINP finds out well as long as he's still working with the same employer it should be fine. What can he do about it if business is slow anyways right.


I'm still waiting for MR but is MR issued around the date CIC receives the application or when AOR is issued??

In my case:
CIC received my application May 9, 2016
Med Request May 2, 2017

Almost a year...

Also, do not do upfront. U can only do upfront if u are express entry. The reason - when u get Med request on one of the forms it has IME number (created by CIC, not doctor) - IME stands for Immigration Medical Exam number
