I would say check the email you sent to them to be sure that you sent the correct documents/attchments, and any other potential errors. If none, perhaps send the missing docs by email again.
Like you said, I wouldn't ask about the progress, just make sure the docs are properly sent.

Just wanted to update you that i just checked my SINP application and in settlement funds tab i can see that they have added my Proof of funds document which i sent them, It was added on 9th Dec 2015, but still the status is Waiting on Applicant.

Guys after upfront medical, will I be getting status report to o upload on CIC or doctor will upload on my behalf or send to CIC.???

The doctor will do that, you will need to take the proof from the doctor which needs to be attached.

Where should IELTS certificate get uploaded in ITA ? There is no section mentioning this option.
Please advice.

IMO only refCode of exam is enough, they will check if they need it, cos I can't find way to upload, so I think they don't need the copy of doc, only examID

As I see the doctor will provide info to CIC, BUT he/she will give you a standard form also, which you need to upload.
I didn't finish medical, yet, so don't know exactly ...

If we look at CIC website, steps after ITA and doc needed , it clearly states IELTS certificate, proof of funds, education, work exp, etc documents needed to successfully apply.
Can we merge the IELTS into another doc say passport copy and upload ?

I don't think, there is a need to merge IELTS cert to other doc.

My status is "in process" applied on 16th Dec, "App Received" & "In Process" on the same day. Waiting!

Well you can do that if it gives you comfort. However, note that you have already given details of your IELTS (test report number, which is unique to you) and also that of WES evaluation.

I believe CIC have access to verify these reports through the numbers you have provided
