Police clearances...
I have a UK police clearance that is more than 3 months old. The clearance was for a period I stayed back in UK in 2001...My query:will CIC still require an updated clearance even 'tho I have not lived in UK again since 2001?
Thanks
In general, the Police certificate should not be more than six months old, however this rule only applies to the country you currently live in. If it were a South African PC and more than 6 months old it would no longer be valid, because you currently live in South Africa, but as it is a UK PC it is still valid. So, the answer to your question is No because you haven't lived in the UK for the past 14 years and the UK PC was obtained this year which is after the last time you lived in the UK.

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.
For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.
