if spnsor is borther/sister , it takes 16-18 months, if sponsor is first cousin it takes more than 24 months.moreover, if you have job offer approval & sponsor is borther/sister nomination by 16 months

one of my friend applied in Sep 2011, got additiona doc request in Nov 2012 & nominated in January 2013. another applcant applied in october 2011, got add doc req in March 2013 & got nomantion in april 2013. another applicant applied in january 2012 , add doc req in may 13 & nomination in july 13. all of them have job offer & sinp confirmed for job offer approval with employer before nomination & they are brother of sponsor not first cousin. on the other hand one few applicant who are first cousin of sponsor applied in dec 2011,Feb 2012 are still waiting for additional doc request.

NB: if some body applied before may 2012 & added just job offer from employer i/o of bank statemen & ielts,, they must get job offer approval from SINP. sinp request job offer approval with their Add doc request if the employer is not their employer unit list. If employer is listed ( mean employer has online account with sinp) then sinp just call employer to approve job the position.

Hello All,

Nearly after one year I received the additional document request from SINP last night. The documents requested are as follows:

Code of Conduct
Birth Document
Updated Job Offer Letter
IMM 5562 Supplementary Information: Your Travels

I should be able to provide all the documents but have an issue with the Birth Document. I am 1979 born in India and do not have a birth certificate. Can anyone in this forum help me with any other document / affidavit that would suffice this request. Just to let you know that my passport and my 10th Std. Certificate has my date of birth which I provided to SINP with my case filing but did not provide those as proof of birth but as identity and educational documents respectively.

Finally after waiting 28months got SINP nomination on a family class application. Submitted file on 12-may 2011 got additional request in March 2013, then Ielts in april, another Ielts for overage dependent in june and nomination in September.

Congratulations and wish you best luck for your CIC Part.
I applied on Family Class (sponsored by my first cousin). Got file number on May - 2012. It's been 16 months almost. Since then, no change.
My IELTS is expired last month that I submitted with application. Seeing you were asked, do you think I should appear the IELTS exam again to keep it ready in hand?
And what did you mean to say "overage dependent"? Your kids above 18 or wife/spouse?
One more question, what were the additional documents they asked for.

Additional documents were IELTS and code of conduct, background form, and IELTS for overage dependent child.

Last week I sent an email to SINP to ask about my application status. They gave me reply yesterday that my application is currently IN PROCESS and no further document is required at this moment. Will email me if requires!

Very little but huge impact on my feelings ...

It's been almost 17 months of hard waiting ....

Can any one update me how long it takes to get Passport request after you submit your file for federal immigration. When i log in to their website and check status, it says FILE ACCEPTED IN MAY 2013, IN Process.

Hi there everyone,just want to know if someone had applied here in SINP under family stream with job offer last January 2012. Can i know your timeline? Im from philippines. Im just wondering and worried at the same time coz up to now they dont give me any update and im just still waiting for their further information required. My last update from them was when they received my application and sent me an Acknowledgement of receipt (AOR).

Waiting for nomination since 20 months ..
I think it will take another 5-6 months as per trend
Then again may take 12 months for get the CIC decision ...

I submitted a file in oct 2011 and all I got is File number so far. Its been 25 month now. I called in to SINP office yesterday and all they said is file is in progress and you will hear something soon. Upon asking about how much time its taking for the family cases she said 22.5 months max.

Hi Sahiba123, I applied on 6th September, family member w/t job offer. I am still waiting. I havent received anything yet. Thats their usual answer to callers saying your file is in process. nothing has been requested... I just wish we receive atleast document request before the end of this year. My file is nearly 27 months.
