Thanks for the info. So lets say once you get nomination and job offer also and you want to apply for work permit. in this case, does employer have to obtain labor market opinion?

No, this is exactly the same case with me. We do not need an LMO if we are going in this manner (job offer + nomination) as we intend to settle permanently in Canada and would be getting PR soon.

I am quoting the exact information available on federal website:

An LMO is a document from the Government of Canada that permits your employer to hire a temporary foreign worker.
These people need a work permit but do not need an LMO:
Workers nominated by a province for permanent residence
The person must have a job offer from an employer based in that province.

If you will go ahead and check work permit eligibility, all it requires for provincial nominees is a job offer and nomination certificate.

Regards.

wow, thats really good news. So all we need is a nomination letter in order to be eligible to at least be considered for a job interview by employer. I guess we stand a good chance to get job offer after nomination.

By the way, whats your situation? did you apply for SINP or already having a nomination?

I am waiting for nomination to apply for TWP. I already have job offer and SINP job approval letter. But, this wait for nomination (already 2 months over) is just testing all the patience..!!

Oh cool. mine is other way around. I will wait for my nomination and then look for a job.
I checked in other forums and ppl mentioned that it took 2-3 months for them to receive nomination. so yours can be any moment. by the way under your online status, does it say "In Process"?

I think SINP will issue a open work permit along with the nomination letter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this true ?

Friday is over any updates on status?

No! Unfortunately Friday past and still nothing at least for me! :(
Is anybody's status changed on Friday?

Yes it is true. According to the International Skilled Worker Category Application Guide

How the SINP Works
Two-Step Immigration Process
Step 1: Apply online to the SINP for nomination.
• the SINP reviews your application; and,
• if approved, the SINP will:
o send a nomination certificate to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC); and, o send a nomination letter and a work permit support letter to you explaining how to
submit an application to CIC.

VI. POST-ASSESSMENT
• The nomination package sent to the applicant or applicant’s representative includes:
o Approval Letter
o Work Permit Support Letter (if applicable)
o Information for proceeding with an application for Permanent Resident Status.

It has been mentioned that work permit support letter will be issued only in case where it is applicable. So i don't think everyone will benefit form it. Only who have job offer at that time will get this.

From the past, the possibility of any good news could be like this: (Its my prediction!)

Monday Feb 24th --> %10
Friday Feb 28th --> %10
Monday Mar 3rd --> %70
Friday Mar 7th --> %10

Any Idea?
