Dear Senior,
Please help on a reply email from Sask Immigration: I still confuse, in order for my friend to apply for the SINP, the job that she does can be in other field as long as she reached 960 hours? Am I corrected?
This is the email I sent to Sask. Immigration and got their reply:
" I am writing on behalf of my friend, Cecily Wang to inquire about the
SINP. Cecily had finished her university degree in Accounting. She
applied for the Postgraduate working permit (PWP) and now holding a
PWP. She is now working as a Accounting Clerk and would like to
inquiry about some questions for the SINP qualification.
Q1. In order to apply for the SINP, does she need to work for at least
960 hours?
Q2. If yes, does it has to be related to her major in order to qualify
for that 960 hours? If she work at accounting clerk right now, would
that count as related to her major?
Q3. If accounting clerk does not qualify for the SINP, is that mean
she has to find another job? if yes, did the hours she worked since
October 2013 till now as an accounting clerk count for the SINP?
Q4. What happen if she wants to go back to school and study for Child
Education, are the hours she worked before continue to count as part
of her 960hours when she has finish her Child Education?"
Email replied from Immigration:
Q1/A1 If Cecily graduated in Saskatchewan the requirement is 960 hours. If she graduated outside of Saskatchewan the requirement is 2 consecutive years.
Q2/A2 The experience can be in any field.
Q3/A3 The Job Offer must be in your field of study in an occupation or trade in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) Matrix level "A", "B", "0"; or in a designated trade; or a job offer requiring post-secondary education.
Accounting Clerk is usually a level C occupation, but if the position requires post-secondard education to be hired then it may qualifiy. This would be assessed by our Employer Unit when looking at the Job Offer for issuance of a Job Approval Letter.
Q4/A4 All hours worked in Saskatchewan under the specified work permit are counted.
