Collect all your personal documents which includes
Passport Pages with Information for self and dependants
Educational Certifications for self and dependants
Trade certificates if any for self and dependants
Marriage Certificates (if applicable)
Proof of Funds from Savings Accounts, Term Deposits, Mutual Funds, etc which have to be stable for 3 months and during the course of this process
Settlement Plan (one which is currently not clear)

Scan all these documents and when the Online application opens up you have to be ready to upload them and wait for them to process. This if your nomination gets approved, then apply to CIC using this nomination

@ Ram

I am new to this forum and one of the aspired candidate who is going to apply for SINP 2014 on 2nd jan. There are lots of doubt but let me start with Funds. Can LIC policies countable as a POF? ;)

Thank you in advance.

Cheers

More documents and certificates would not hurt but only help... I dnt think accounting tech and book keepers are regulated... different story if you are a Chartered Accountant and would want to practice... in that case, you will have to write a canadian CA...

good luck!

thanks regina_jy, your inputs are highly appreciated. by the way, to regina and other seniors, any idea if marketable securities are acceptable as proof of funds? i am maintaining an account with a stock brokerage firm in my country where my stockholdings are in street name. is it ok to include their certification (with supporting latest 3 mos.-ledger) on the valuation of my stockholdings as proof of funds. please note that my october and november bank statements of my checking account reflected minimal balances, although i was able to increase its balance in december and intend to keep it while my application is being processed. thanks again for your inputs and happy new year to all of us!

Did any one dropped mail to SNIP regarding passport validity?
My husband's passport is going to expire on July 2014, and going to apply
thr Takkal but i am experting to receive after Jan 2nd. Shall I apply with the old
passport and with the explanation letter stating will produce the copy once I get it?

Seniors please help me on this... :-\

HI Experts.

I am planning to file SINP application. I have read lot about same on websites and still confuse on following questions.. Please help at your earliest possible.

1. I don't have IELTS score ready with me, So can I apply without ielts and later can I update my scores ?

2. The fees need to be paid is $180.. If my application not accepted because of IELTS, so will I get that amount refunded ?

3. If I submit my application and if it not processed or refused so that affect my FSW in future or CIC have access to the information of these as well.

Please share your expertise views.....

Thanks
Gurpreet

Hi GP,

How do you know about fees for SINP? Is there any link on their official website?

Please share if it is.

Thank you

Dear Ram

Thanks again for sharing the info.
Being one in 250 count is something similar to getting a tatkal ticket in IRCTC site.
If luck doesn't favor, will have to wait for the FSW 2014. So planning to get WES done before that . Not sure whether CIC will again change the policies in meantime.

Hi Nambi,

You comment correctly. 250 applications is like Tatkal ticket on IRCTC. Very well set buddy.

Best of luck to all candidates.

We all are in same boat.

I would not apply without IELTS... We all have to remind ourselves that they are just asking minimal docs at this point and that too electronically, to make this process fast and efficient... If we miss out on the basic docs, they would not have a second thought before returning the package... (just my thoughts).

So, i would perhaps get my IELTS score and then apply the days I get the results (and leave it on my fate).

I dont think there are any fees involved at this stage. One would have to pay fees if and when nominated.

Not sure what you mean when you said that your holdings are in 'street name".... But if you are talking about share & likewise investments, it surely qualifies for PoF... so getting 3 months ledger, statements, etc. would definitely work... good luck!

Yes, I did since the 25th December but no reply yet. I only got an auto response that they will answer in 2 business days. If they reply by close of business today, I will advise the house.

All;

SINP international skilled worker guide (updated December 23rd)

Page 4, paragraph 4 under eligibility:
if your occupational education and work experience is in a regulated profession, you
will be required to demonstrate that you have obtained the appropriate Saskatchewan qualification recognition to be able to work in that profession before you apply.

Page 11, under Regulatory or Licensing Credentials:

If you intend to work in an occupation that requires licensing or certification in Saskatchewan, you must contact the provincial, national and/or industrial regulatory association before applying for nomination to verify that you will be licensed. Before nomination, the SINP will contact the appropriate regulatory body to ensure it has no objections to SINP nomination.

Does anyone feel this two statements are somehow contradictory if you are in a regulated profession? Page 4 seems to suggest that you MUST have a Saskatchewan qualification recognition while page 11 seems to require you to have made contact to establish that your foreign qualification will be "qualified" to licence after going through all the relevant steps?

Please share your thoughts as time is getting too short to make any last minutes changes.
