Friends,

I am seeking your suggestion regarding the following issue.

SINP nominated me under skilled worker category without job offer in 2014. I have completed my medicals and now ECAS showing "in process". Please see my profile info for details. I received a mail from the local visa office requesting updated personal history and address details. Moreover, I am quite confused and surprised with the following request. They requested me to submit "Current permanent job offer from your prospective employer in Canada". But the fact is that I received nomination based on the skilled occupation in demand (without any permanent job offer). That's why we need to prove the settlement fund and licence(if needed). So frustrated!!!!!!! They gave me 30 days timeline to respond.

Can you predict the reason for asking this kind of document? What should be my response in this case?

Possibly its for some other candidate and they sent you wrongly. You can email them with the cover letter explaining your original application with sinp is without job offer. Dont worry. I think that its just mix up.

I think that that visa officer has only seen the applications with job offers all the time because this category without job offer is not even 1% i guess hence he might have thought you missed sending job offer details. :). So explain them on your category at sinp.

Personal history and addresses - Did they ask for more than 10 years or you did not provide for the last 10 years?

Relax and don't panic

You should explain them that you have been nominated by SINP under without job offer program. You can also email SINP and ask them what needs to be done in this case.

All the best.

Some refusal were based on :

Lack of License if the NOC you are applying for is regulated
Don't prove that you have enough funds before applying SINP (at least 3 months)
Don't reach the points (people applying from English Speaking countries that
applied without IELTS, didn't reach at least 60 points)

First you should check your nomination letter(email) once more. Can you see any pdf file describing how to apply for work permit? IF yes then it shows SINP inserted your nomination in the wrong category because as I know there is a common spreadsheet between SINP and CIC and for every nomination they insert applicant and descendant's information in that common spreadsheet and if for any reason SINP make any mistake and they fill the wrong information and showing you have a job offer then CIC may ask for that (in some cases).
I suggest you check your nomination letter and pdf files first and then send one email to SINP and forward CIC's request letter with explanations to SINP. (It is possible your nomination be OK and it was a CIC mistake in their system)
Don't worry my friend, SINP will clarify the situation for CIC and help you to receive your visa very soon! ;)

I remember one of our other friends received nomination letter with instruction how to apply for a work permit. He should be aware of this situation. ;)

I don't see anything to be panicked about.

They asked your updated background declaration letter and address details... Fine

In regards of job offer- Actually CIC sometimes also include those documents which is not applicable to you. They actually send a regular format of email. If your job offer is not applicable Just send those documents which are applicable and write them a cover letter explaining those non applicable documents and why. Don't forget to enclose the document request email with your reply.

Hope that make sense to you.

P.S CIC document request sometime contains irrelevant/non applicable documents, it's common and nothing to get worried. Just reply with a cover letter explaining that those asking doc is not applicable and why. Best of luck

Thank you all for your valuable input. I applied to CIC on October, 2014 and now visa office requested me to update personal history and address from Oct. 2014 to current.
I have already sent a mail to SINP seeking their suggestion. As soon as I get a response from SINP, I will reply to visa office with a cover letter explaining the whole situation.
I will keep you update.

Did your visa office request for Right of Permanent Residence Fee in your last email?

Not in the last mail. They requested RPRF and medical on May 5, 2015.
