One thing which just came in my mind, its about the SETTLEMENT PLAN ! Does anyone remember uploading it on the online application system, cause i don't remember think i saw any option where the settlement plan was supposed to be uploaded, even in the below 'OASIS On-line Application System User Manual' i couldn't find any reference of Settlement Plan.

Gst would you mind me asking you what program did you apply? Actually I can see from your on right side details timeline that you already got PR In 2012, also from footnote I can see you applied for Citizenship this year, also I am assuming ( as you are an active member of SINP 2015 forum) you applied for SINP also?

Which program actually are you on?

Here is a brief info about me:

Applied for SINP Skilled Cat. in Jan 2011, got it in Sept 2011 and then got my passport stamped with PR visa in April 2012.
Just applied for Canadian Citizenship
Also applied for my cousin's SINP in Jan 2015

Actually i should also ask for some help with my question about Settlement Plan with application, do you remember anything about it ?

Best of Luck !

That's cool. So what the exact time of applying citizenship after landing to canada and how long it normally takes? Once get the leaf passport can we use our countries passport aswell?

Also, settlement plan suppose to uploaded with settlement fund. There is a option in that settlement fund page that do you have settlement plan attached or not. So we suppose to Select yes and upload that doc also.

To be eligible to apply for citizenship one must be resided in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before application.

But there is a new rule coming (i think this summer), as per the new rule the applicant has to be resided for at-least 4 years out of 6 years. Processing time for citizenship app is 2 years but CIC claims that once the new rule is in action the processing time will be reduced to 1 year.

As far as keeping the passport of your country of origin is concerned, it depends on your country, if your country allows dual citizenship then you can deifnately keep canadain and other passport for sure ! In my case i will be required to surrender my Indian passport.

And thanks for the help, really appreciate that, gave you +1 !
