Hi Fira123,

I also did my medicals in October, and I applied under FSW in 2006.
I am still waiting for my passport request.

Hope for some good news soon.

Hey Trans!

Any news on the medical? Did you receive your passport request yet?

Hi All,

I am about to submit our full application to CHC Singapore. Do we need to submit notarized employment contracts for our past employers or only current employer will do?

Is it also necessary to notarized all photocopies of our documents that we need to submit to CHC Singapore?

Please I need your thoughts on these. Thank you.

My Singnature says it all about my Timeline so far.
I think 3 months is the standard time (if CHC is Singapore) for CIO to send AOR after the Initial application reaches NS, Canada.

Pocoyo and all

Notarized is fine but this will delay the proceedings as CHC will verify your notarized copies.
If you send them in sealed envelopes then the verification time would be saved.

Hello, Hellovn,
Please share how you send these docs:
1. educational certificates: original; or copy and certified/notarized by lawyer or university; sealed or not sealed in envelope?
2. contract: notarized original or notarized copy?
thanks

Re: Singaporean applicants under FSW

Hi Tran or fellow applicants from SG

I just received the "case status/ additional information required" from the Visa office from SG today but cause i am currently residing in Shanghai, China, i received the letter close to 30 days later, the letter was dated 4 Jan 2010 and i just received it on 2 Feb 2010.

The problem is that the letter states that i have 45 days ONLY from the date of the letter to submit all the documentation required or else it could result in refusal of the application.

The letter requested my Police report from the following countries cause i have resided in these countries of : China, Hong Kong, US - FBI report and state police report, Canada and Singapore.

I have already received the State police report from the state that i used to live in and also for China for the periods where i have employment contracts cause China notary public only issues NO criminal report for periods with employment contracts, there were some periods where i do not have the employment contract anymore, will it be a problem as such there is no report for such period.

As for Canada's RCMP report, it says that the report can only be issued within 30 days of the dated letter but i just received the letter and i need to send it over to Toronto to request for the report, the time line seems to be very tight. What should i do about this? Any advice anyone?

As for Hong Kong and Singapore NCR, i will be travelling to HK during the Chinese new year period to obtain finger prints so that i can request the NCR from SG without flying to SG for it and obtain the NCR report from HK. Time also seems to be pretty tight with the 45 days deadline. Can anyone help or know why is this deadline so tight, i thought it was supposed to be 120 days or so.

I also was asked for medical reports for myself and my common law spouse which is not much of a problem which we can obtain in Shanghai, China.

The other request was the RIGHT of Permanent residence fees for myself and my common law spouse. Why does the visa office request the fees at such earlier stage when we have yet to obtain medical and NCR.

My problem here is the timeline and the deadline, can anyone help or advise with these problems.

Also, TRAN, were u also given 45 days only to obtain all such information?

Thanks and appreciate your help.

Hi Abelkwh,

I empathsize with you on your situation. I faced similar; 45 days deadline.
Mine was not so complicated as yours. It was a bad rush nonetheless.

I applied for my Vietnam PCC in HCMC, and flew down to S'pore for my
S'pore PCC (2 weeks) and to compile all other documentations.
Once I got back to HCMC(got my Vietnam PCC & other papers), sent the package by DHL
to CHC S'pore.

About a month later, received medical request and Canada PCC. Again, flew down to
S'pore for my set of fingerprints and sent it to Ottawa RCMP, Vietnamese police
refused to do it for me. I applied for my Canada PCC in early October, and I
understand it might take as long as 4 months.

Now waiting for my passport request..........my neck long like dinosaur already.
