hopefulsoul>> i think we have the same timeline...have u gotten your medicals? when did u apply?

I think your schedule is ahead of mine. I submitted all my documents the first time in Dec 2011. Then more docs were requested a couple of months later, so then I submitted them again in February 2012.

Got the AOR letter in April 2012.

Eversince then, no news at all. I see you are still waiting for your Medicals request as well. So am I.

Did you receive any updates or communication from the immigration department at all eversince the AOR?

hopefulsoul>>nothing heard since Nov 2011. This is depressing....sigh....hope the pafso strike ends soon....think maybe the strike will last till october? wonder if the pafso officers get paid while on strike because its just ridiculous to be unpaid since april for this

Yes, I get what you mean. I haven't heard anything back eversince the AOR letter either. All this waiting and hearing absolutely nothing back is quite depressing.

Have you tried requesting the GCMS Notes to perhaps find some updates?

I sure hope the pafso officers don't get paid while on strike. That would be ridiculously encouraging for them. Why would they ever end the strike if they're making easy money while sitting at home? ::)

The strange part is, PNP used to be the faster route compared to the Federal category. Since you have a job offer waiting for you and all.
But seems like it is the opposite case these days. Because a friend of mine applied from Singapore around the same time as I did (Federal, no job offer)... and she got her visa 5 months ago. Living and working in Toronto now.

I Think there are no chance to reduce processing time.& i sure in October when they change their processing time it will be 27 month. & next quarter it be 30 month. ridiculous. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

just read in the news that visa issuance rate dropped by 60%-65%!!!
when employees are on strike they get paid by their union but it's not the full amount, only some percentages.

after so many months, the union should be drying up in terms of their finances, no?

@ kaisin My destination city is Winnipeg. My stuffs are very simple! They are important documents and ... money. Most of our current stuffs are gifts for family and throw away because they are not suitable in Canada. I will buy all when I am in there.
Good luck to you and everyone

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

We continue to work hard to make our processing of Provincial Nominee applications as efficient as possible. However, the times to review and to finalize the case may vary depending on the number of new applications received at our office, resources available, and the individual complexity of the application. Some cases require further investigation before a decision is made and thereofre will exceed the stated processing times. In all cases, the applicant will be contacted directly should we require more information. Once this case has been reviewed and/or finalized, the applicant will be contacted with the next steps.

We trust this information will be of assistance.

Singapore timeline is really really slow. Just want to check 25 months is the date from AOR or the date of application received by CIC

they mentioned that CIC has deployed extra staffs for certain VOs. Not sure if Singapore is one of them. It certainly is very very short handed, given the processing time they have for the applicants.
