Hello . I am new to this forum. I am also going through Singapore office. Got my redo med request along with police clearance, original birth certificate, nikah nama, 4 copy passport sized photo on 26th January,2011. Send them on 8th february,2011. Along with the medical request , singapore office had sent me back all my photos. Does this mean, now I have to wait for my PPR?

Does anyone get the letter asking for passport after e-cas showing "med results have been received" yet?

Sorry to hear that, I think after they get your things they'll send the letter requesting for your passport soon, cheer up :)

Can I ask you a question?
When they ask for more paper for example,
photoes, redo med etc. What medthod did they contact you : phone or letter?
Thank you in advance and I hope all of us in the forum will get the good news soon.

Hi hope17, I dont intend to discourage you but have you verify the checklist? Based on the guideline we must submit our documents complete and not by batch otherwise our paper will be returned to us. Better review your documents again to be sure you did not missed anything.

Goddluck

Does anyone has any idea about how much time it is now needed to get med req after changing the ecas status to In Process.

This topic is meant for application under family class sponsorship. The timeline is different from all other classes. :)

@hello kitty: Thanks. Hoping to hear back soon.normally it takes 6 weeks to get ppr after they receive the medicals. They contacted me via letter. In the letter they stated the checklist with tick marks was applicable on my case. As I had already paid RPRF , there was no tick mark on that , even though that point was on the letter. So I am hoping next thing should be passport request.
@masternardo: they send letter after approval to send them necessary forms and fill it up, like IMM008, schedule1, background declaration. After that as my medical and police certificate has expired they requested me to send all the docs as I mentioned earlier, and yes I complied with that checklist.
Now I am waiting to get my PPR. Do they send that via letter or email?

We have the same feeling when I saw my e-cas updated.
It did not say anything about processing the file , but when I phoned CIC, he said that
as long as your file was received, it means your file is inprocess.
He couldn't tell me how long will it take though

We applied to CIC Mississauga in September and are now waiting for news from Singapore.

We posted our time line and will keep it updated.
