Anyone submitted his/her passport on 1st week of November? I have submitted mine in 2nd November, but haven't heard anything about passport return yet.

I see. I was a bit curious asI have seen 2 people from this thread who has submitted their passport on 25th October and received it back on 16th November. So if SVO follows that timeline, I was expecting to get my passport back by next week. :)

Might be possible ;) I wish for you :) better expect longer then, if shorter, it will be a good surprise

We really are kept in suspense throughout the process (AOR, Interview, PPR, etc.). If this process were sped up and made into an amusement park ride, I think it would be a hit!! AHAHAHAHHAH :-X :-X :-X :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Just got PPR email today. Off to VFS tomorrow, and hopefully it comes back as quickly as the TRV! ;D

It's a double-edged sword for me though. My wife was approved for a TRV and we booked flights for early December (Xmas holiday) thinking there was no way we'd have PPR by now. I think I'm the only one on here that actually wanted it delayed at least until we got back from holiday :(

PPR doesn't say much really:

- Usual warnings of "follow-up with the below documents within 30 days or your application may be refused" and "this letter is not a guarantee a visa will be issued"
- Says to send them the applicant's passport + 2 passport-sized photos (gives link with the sizes they want). Cannot provide these online, must be physical photos.
- Says the passport must have at least 2 blank pages, 1 year validity, and must be an 'ordinary' passport (not Diplomatic or Military).
- Includes instructions on where to submit the passport depending on where the applicant is residing.
- Has one other form to include with passport/photos just to enter applicant's name and application number.
- Says expect "up to 1 month" to have it returned.
- Includes a link to a "Welcome to Canada" PDF :D

So hopefully there is a miracle and the passport is returned in 2 weeks, but seeing how CIC seems to do the opposite of whatever I want, I'm betting I've got some trip rescheduling to do...

Congrat ;)
For your flight that you bought don't worry too much. Most of the time they accept to change the date but do it as soon as possible. If the ticket is more expensive for the new date you'll have to pay the difference, the opposite is not truth...! I had to change the plane ticket for wife when she landed, she flew with thai airways
