Been off the grid here for a WHILE (as some of you may have noticed).

Updates from my side and general updates from what I've noticed reading the last 10 or so pages of comments.

• Still no GCMS Notes, 1 month of waiting, will follow up as it should not take this long
• Lots of interview letters going out
• CIC has gone full retard with the interviews (I feel for everyone in SVO right now)
• MyCIC is BEYOND USELESS, realtime? more like a more pretty version of eCAS, they had to DELAY the rollout of MyCIC and this doesn't even work as intended

And I think those are all of the updates for now.

You've sent your app out a lot earlier than the other guys, but they already have interveiw letters, have you gotten any news with your app?

I got the interview letter back in early June, but still no word on the date for it, I'm just at 30 days of waiting for the GCMS notes now, so I can actually put in a request for an investigation as it should not take 30 days to obtain the notes (quite honestly it shouldn't take more than 1 week considering it's all done electronically and they're only pulling the notes).

Wow that's quite surprising (or maybe not that surprising considering it's SVO). There's no way it should take that long. We had our original proofs within a week or so of getting the letter.

GCMS Notes came in today, pretty much nothing new here. They still don't have an interview date or location (It's still blank on those fields).

On the plus side, CIC decided to fix my martial status to married LOL.

Her medical expires in about 10 days, should we get a new medical done OR should we wait for CIC to either extend the validity/request a new one?

1. The location will be Canadian embassy in Jakarta. When they determine the date they will notify your wife via email if that is the preferences method of correspondence.

2. CIC won't request a new medical exam until after the interview. I don't advise doing on your own before that.

I think your interview will be waived given the fact everyone in queue has not started for background check.

It should not take very long at all if PA hasn't served in the military or held gov positions and has no travel history.
