Wife collected her passport from VFS today ;D

Congratulation. Have a safe journey to Canada. Exactly how many days it took for you after you submit the passport at the VFS Dhaka?

Cheers.

Roughly 28 days. Dropped off on the 4th of July and picked up on the 1st of August. We dropped off the same day of PPR and picked up the next day of passport's arrival.

I'm not the one actually flying...my wife (the applicant) is. I'm here in TO.

Thank you Jupiter 16. Yeah it is a long waiting process and it is very frustrating when you dun get any acknowledgement email from singapore vo for months but u gotta just hang on there and have faith.

Got an email yesterday from CIC with my SA, even though we already received AOR2 months ago.

Better late than never I guess, but this process is really draining.

One question: seems many on here have to re-do the medical because CIC takes too long and it expires. In that case, when the visa is issued is the must-enter-by date extended to the date of the "new medical"? For example, right now our medical expires Nov 2016. If we got our visa today (LOL) then I'm told we would have to land before medical expires (Nov 2016). If we re-do medical and it is valid until Nov 2017, would that mean the visa they issue also allows us to land by Nov 2017? ???

Generally the visa expires when the medical does.

If you redo the medical the visa will expire when that medical does.

You need to land in Canada before the visa expiry date.

My wife send tota 85 picture +- later on via courier.

What's the courier address for Singapore office? I think we submitted about 40 pictures mostly with her huge family. Think I need to send more pictures. Other than our honeymoon we haven't gone anywhere last 2.5 years living together.

Hello everyone,

First time posting here and great to see the discussion, information and help to each other!

I just have a question my sponsorship application looks okay so far according to the normal timeline and posted applicants time line.
My SA is done and file transferred to SVO July 19th.

My question was is that a good idea to send some more pics, proofs and other stuffs via email/courier to SVO just to have some docs to show the ongoing relationship?
Or should I not?

They didn't ask anything yet though!

Thanks and appreciate any help.

Welcome on the forum ;). You're still at an early stage of the process. You can send more proof if you want, it won't hurt, i did myself 2 time( you dont want to get in interview queue). I would suggest to order your gcms note on a regular basis. I did every 2 month some doing it every month. It will give you a good picture of your application ;)

Can you give us more info about your relationship story, wich country, timeline, etc. would be easier to give you good advice. First advice would be being patient, SVO works slowly :(
Good luck buddy

I second what Shineon said.

You don't want interview queue so send more if you're not confident .

We put number behind every single picture. We organized each group of picture and in a piece of paper we wrote details of the 80+ photos, such as who is on the picture, date and occasion and also location. A fully organized paperwork may leads to faster processing. You need to collect all the photos from friends and family
print them, then put them over the dinner table and choose the best possible combination that reflects both bride and grooms and family members of both sides. Therefor it will be a strong paperwork.

I simply made a word doc and printed 2 or 3 photos per page with captions on regular printer paper and included a note we didn't send originals for sentimental reasons and to request them if they want.
