sophienguen,

Congrats on making it, what are your first impressions of the country? Of the people? Of the culture?

I'm in singapore on work visa and in the process of going through canadian spousal application - mine was sent to Mississauga last week and once done will have them worked on in London as timelines suggest it's much quicker then the singapore office.

All the best to all those waiting...

Hi,guys
I'd like to ask you. After singapore processing your case until you get the letter asking for passport. There are nothing show up on your ecas ? I mean you didn't know anything form singapore ? Even when they got your police cert. or Medical exam.
Thanks :D

Hycore,

I will be sending my sponsorship application to Canada tomorrow for my Indonesian wife. I am a canadian but also a brit and have not lived in canada for 14 years.

Now in Qatar and my wife will visit for a few months within the next few weeks. Lucky I have her with me while waiting

Best of luck Kingquatar, please let me know when you get your AOR, or even if they send you one. I haven't gotten one yet, and it has been almost two months of processing in Singapore. Actually, I don't even know if Singapore sends them out. But anyhow, keep me updated on your progress.

I'm watching you guys status also... nothing for me yet.. :D

LoveThai and Hycor

We will see what happens. I have show that I have been out of the country since 1996, been stable and making good money and that Ira and I are committed and continuing. But as always, there are a few worrying things but we have been completely open and honest will with our application.

Ira was a nurse and had TB. We went to the medical, told of the problem, showed investigations and clearance given by Qatar Visa office, provided a letter confirming all details of treatment. I imagine Ira will need to do another x-ray in Singapore

Help me please

hi, my wife from Vietnam received a letter stating the queue for her interview is 18 months and the letter was received in Sept/2010. Anyone going thru the same thing as us or know of anything similar to this? please let me know. im so stressed out thanks

Hi,Hoang26
Please you share your time line to us ?? and Is it mean the letter said you have to wait about 18 month for interview ??
When your document in process in Singapore ?

Thank you ;D

I will be sending in my application to sponsor my thai wife tomorrow. It was go to Missisauga, Canada, and then to Singapore.

I hope the total time-length isn't more than a year. :/

Hi lenard,

I read you story and if you are accepted as a sponsor I would imagine that it should not take too long. I am doing Singapore as well and have seen many people getting through in 4-5 months. Got your wife's PCC's and Medical? Document requests and interviews seem to delay the process by 2-3 months.

Good luck

yea i got the medical and police check already. the medical is 2 months old though so we may need a new one if the process takes too long..
