You're still a bit early, wait until November or December for In Process.

Hi Jannat and Everybody

I got the following message today at noon in VFS tracking and at the same time (today) ecas changed to DM :

"Visa application, tracking ID No. – Processed Decision is ready for collection at Canada Visa Application CenterDHAKA. Please collect your Decision from Canada Visa Application centre between 15:00-17:00 Hours. "

We will collect it tomorrow. We are not in hurrey as the spouse can not go to Canada before April, 2015 as her final exam in dentistry is in March 2015. She did her re-medical on Aug 2014 and hopefully visa will expire on Aug 2015.

Wish others get their visa soon.

:D :D :D

Passport has been forwarded to VFS Bangkok on Oct 10!!!! Took exactly 2 weeks. Weird thing is, when we check vfs tracking, in english, still says "passport being processed in Singapore". But my wife, on a strange hunch decided to check the thai version or whatever, and it says something else completely...its already forwarded to bangkok..on the 10 of Oct!

We have already purchased tickets. She will be landing in Vancouver, en route to Ottawa (through tokyo). She will land in Ottawa at 11:40 pm...we will have a huge welcome party for her ;D.

She will be flying during her 26th week of pregnancy (2 weeks shy of our cut-off date). Back in may and June, when we were seriously depressed with lack of progress during the sponsor part(lack of AOR, SA) we never ever could've predicted that we would be able to celebrate the birth of our child in canada. It just goes to show to keep your patience, as hard as it seems, and there will be light for everyone at the end.

And since we are finished this wonderful roller-coaster of a ride, thanks everyone (mikeymyke, drmbig, cdnmom) and others, for your kind words and help. And may god bestow you all with his grace and may everyone be with their loved ones soon.

Really happy for you man. You had such a bad start, but it seems they've put you under some kind of expedited process, as your file at SVO seemed to go much quicker than normal, and also your passport got dispatched way quicker than most people here.

Again congrats ! :)

I know. I always said we put in so much time and effort into the applicant portion, and made a few mistakes with the sponsor part. But otherwise, i felt our application was very straightforward... We spent many months working on it and reading the forums before applying. Detailed trips and photos and family gatherings, along with not having any redflags at all helped. Document everything and make it easy for the officers to visualize your relationship.

Of course we also spent hours praying, visiting temples and churches together during our recent trips and always asked for guidance and help and it seems we are truly blessed.

Good luck with the last portion of your application as well mikeymyke. And if you're ever in the ottawa area, pm me and we will have a little tour together with the wives.

Hi all,
Just an updated from me. Alhamdulilah I received my passport+COPR today. After long journey since 20 November 2013,
Finally I can reunite with my husband.
I m hoping that you guys will hear a good news soon.
Good luck all :)

Hi all mates

we collected visa and expiry of the visa is Aug 2015 (One year after the day we did re-medical i.e Aug 2014)

My observation is SVO returns pp on priority basis to those who do not get re-medical because their time is close that their medical will expire soon.

It took 10 months to get the visa and now-a-days the time is coming down to 5/6 months for Singapore Visa Office.

Wish you all that your journey to get visa be smooth and quick i.e by 5/6 months.

I will be in touch with you help you out.

My spouse will land in Vancouver.

The link below lists every required documents they need:

www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Make sure your brother fills out all the applicable documents and has all required signatures, along with ample amount of proof of relationship (this is very important), i.e. communications: emails, texts, phone records/ bills; photographs of everything that your bother and his wife was involved together: wedding, honeymoon, trips, occasions, ceremonies/ family gatherings etc.; proof of important purchases: flight itinerary, gift receipts, etc. Literally give everything that shows the strong bond and authenticity of the relationship. And make sure all documents (i.e. marriage/ birth/ degree certificates and whatever else) are notarized.

Good luck to your brother!

Hi,

Could someone please explain the conditions of transitioning from a "conditional PR" to a "permanent" PR. It's stated that from the day your spouse lands in Canada, you and your spouse must "co-habitate" in an conjugal relationship for 2 years (obviously!). But, my concern is that I will be going to America to study after a year and under such circumstances my husband and I will not be able to "co-habitate" together, unless he comes with me, but in that case we won't be in Canada. In this situation will he then not be granted a "permanent" PR, since we might be apart after one year and it will not be full two years of cohabitation, as one of us might not be in Canada? Or is there exceptions when it comes to professional education, i.e. like medical school?

Could anyone please kindly advise. We are worried ???

Thanks!!

Thanks a lot Synthesis :)

When filling out the General Application, does his wife need to fill out the "Add Dependent" Section?
"To Add a dependent Click the ADD DEPENDENT button"

He does not have any child, and His Wife is already a PR (who is sponsoring him).

I am thinking there will not be any dependents. Is that right?
